Duane Below pitched in relief against the Twins on May 27. Mauer singled then was picked off first then 3 fly outs.

That was the game that Cabrera hit a 2 run homer off Crapps...

Good to see Casilla in the lineup. I don't think Casilla has proven anything either way, but playing Carroll on a noncontending team is pointless.

It looks like this one might get rained out, which may be better than watching Blackburn pitch.

---Too true. If he gets shelled again tonight, that's gotta be it for him. There's gotta be one of the Red Wings (or for that matter one of the Snappers, Saints, Gophers, FoxSportsNorth Girls or regular posters on this board) who we could start that would give us a better chance of winning.

I would like to see the Twins call up Deduno from Rochester.

i like the double steal!

Now a hit will score 2 runs. That would be a good start to what may be a long game.

It's starting to rain again, but not in a good way. Blackburn just does not have good stuff.

I'm really glad they sent down Hendriks.

Me too. But I wish they had brought up Deduno just to see if he might be another Diamond in the rough. DeVries has been OK, but Deduno might be better than OK.

Plouffe v. Willingham ... love it

This is starting to remind me of Mantle and Maris. Too bad Morneau is not part of this.

I wonder how long they leave Blackburn out there. Gardy's gotta be worried about depleting the bullpen, especially with Duensing pitching tomorrow. He might let Blackie take one for the team and pitch a couple more, even if he gets hit hard - kind of a sacrificial goat.

Nick Blackburn is flat-out awful at baseball right now.

I'm flabbergasted that this baseball club can continue to send this crap to the mound every five games.

Does Gardy hate Blackburn yet? That will have something to do with how he is handled.

Is this where I line up to kick Blackburn in the nuts?

I would blame Gardenhire -- this is his decision and Blackburn is merely doing what he is told to do.
