I would be thrilled to see Ventura get Tossed out of the game today!

You are good with the photo-shop skills.  Granted a lot of your work is somewhat disturbing and gives me nightmares, but it is good work.

Points for the discworld reference.

...

To be perfectly honest, while i'm sure he uses the phrase in some discworld story (it being a good one)

I was specifically thinking of Johnny Maxwell and the Bomb.

Thanks D. Hocking. That means my work is paying off. ;)

Names...

Heard that the actor that played "Dennis the Menace" on TV met the guy who sang "Games People Play." Jay North and Joe South. It went badly. They were polar opposites.

No matter. It gave me an excuse to link to one of my favorite scenes. Sublime combination of comedy and weirdness.

Mr. Harrelson just told a story about the last game of the year in 1967 during which he named-dropped a bunch of Twins's names (Chance, Versailles, Carew, Battey). I was very young (9 years old) at the time, but not too young to be stung by the painful end of the season. Anybody have memories that season?

Oh, yes. Yaz and Rose Hose stole the pennant in a great four team race. All four teams were flawed, but the Red Sox had the best story and the best player. Not much offense in that era.

I think we had to win one out of two in Boston at the end of the year, and lost both. :(
