Seems to me Hugh-zee has lost his little cutter on the outside edge to lefties this year.  That was the pitch, IMO, that made his season last year.

 

Ya that pitch in particular but hes not hitting the edges of the zone with anything like he was.  Extreme fly ball pitcher + too much of the plate = NYY era Phil Hughes.
