Glen Perkins, winning pitcher.

Ugh.  I know Nolasco has sucked this year and Perk has been good until lately, but Nolasco pitched a great game and gets nothing for his troubles and Perk gets the win.  That is just wrong.  But yay Twins.  Let's get the rest and play spoiler!

I didn't get to watch the game. So Kennys Vargas hit a triple?

Deep hit ball to left center ... careens off the wall ... Davis chases after it  and tries to grab it while running and doesn't quite get it picked up ... Vargas to 3rd.

Just watched Nathan on "Twins Live" and he was a little defiant, but pretty classy.  He defended Carrera's aggressiveness.  I still really like Nathan, my favorite relief pitcher of all time for the Twins.

Yeah ... I always liked Nathan.  Not so much in a playoff game or two.  But honestly, I'd rather that had been Torii in center missing that play rather than Nathan on the mound for the loss.

Was it fun watching him run the bases?

Kinda, yeah.  I chuckled.  Although the camera was more on Davis trying to make a play, but you can see it in your mind ... Vargas running for three.

Twins Baseball™.

Easily one of the best games of the year.  Nice, fast-paced game with some Santana and Nolasco thrills, drama and dominance, a Kennys jolt + a full dose of Kennys joviality & jocularity on the base paths, along with some 9th inning pathos, agony and ecstasy from familiar faces on both sides.  What a great game (well worth my scalper $10 box seat tix).

Nolasco's last 5 starts: 32 IP, 11 ER, 3.09 ERA.

If we pretend that 8-run stinker didn't happen (because we can always pretend), the other 4 starts: 27 IP, 3 ER, 1.0 ERA.

DickBert reported last night that Nolasco says his elbow feels better than it has for 2 years.  Here's hoping that is the case next March.
