Just before Escobar got injured I was going to write about my concern for his batting average, and how I looked back to see how bad he had slid, and I found that he actually has leveled off quite nicely. In April and May he hit .335 and that got us excited, then in June he his .208, which got us depressed, but since then, over the last 2 1/2 months, he has hit .272, which is virtually what he is hitting for the season, so that isn't so bad.

 

Also, I joked last night that we know Vargas can trot (home runs) but he hasn't shown that he can walk (only 4 this year), and tonight he gets an infield hit and a triple. The great, strange game of baseball.

In all seriousness, I appreciate people pestering me on Facebook if the site is down. Sometimes I don't realize we have an issue for half an hour or better.

 

Or the easy-to-remember brock@twinsdaily.com also works, though I'm pretty good at ignoring email notifications on my phone.

You don't just sense a disturbance in the Force when the site is down (or when a Twins starter does not have a qualified start)?

Eww.  But I saw THE PRETTIEST BMW monster bike the other day parked outside my building ... omg, I really wanted to climb on and ride away.  Although I likely would have gotten two feet and would have tipped over.

Can we call Kennys "Darth Vargas"?  Or maybe Deathstar?  Dude needs a nickname, beyond the obvious Vargsie.
