Another observation: If Ausmus had his infield play at regular depth there would have been a double-play (presumably), and then a ground out (Mauer); one run in. By playing the infield "in," over and over again, it has snowballed into a big wad of crap. (yeah Twins, though)

And here comes Al Alburquerque.  Maybe we'll get Nathan in the 8th.  That would be fun.  If we can get to a starter early in Game 1 tomorrow.....yowsah.

Well, in order to blow a 5 run lead, you have to have a five run lead, so they could technically be preparing to blow another 5 run lead by scoring those runs...

I sincerely doubt whether the late innings will be meaningful.

Don't see many double plays like that one!

See, I knew what I was talking about! Actually, I thought Detroit might pull away, but this is way better.

Bremer is right about one thing. In a game with a lot of runs, bad pitching and sloppy fielding, the biggest play might have been the double play in the sixth.

It would have been fun to see the Twins destroy the Tigers' bullpen, but looks to me as though the Tigers' front office beat them to it...

I'm just kind of sitting here in shock.  Sixteen runs???  That's about four games worth.  I hope we used up some of the ones we didn't get recently, instead of ones we would have gotten tomorrow.

And instead of printed across his back, 'Chamberlain' should be embroidered above his own special left shirt pocket.
