 I had the same thought, seeing the camera view of Gardy's face after The Year's Worst Bunt Attempt.  Schaffer makes the team next year as a pinch-runner?  Unlikely, but more likely than him making it as someone who ever gets to hold a bat based on what he's shown so far.

The Twins really need to start getting into extra innings games.  Santana needs to average 5.7 PA per game for the rest of the season to qualify for the batting title.  Seems doable if the team averages 12 innings a game.
