Yep -- because I could be watching reruns of White Collar on Fox.

Doctor Who Season 7 is on Netflix now. As is Sherlock season 3. :)

You make a valid point. The wisecracks and nitpicking gets tiring and I am one of those who can improve.

But yes in this case I would expect some hand-waving from the coaches if Polanco was truly out of position and needed to fix it. And that might be on Molitor as infield coach. But then as you said, it was an 8th-inning, 5-run deficit at that point, low pressure, so maybe Molitor weighed the situation and decided to just let the kid play, and correct/coach after the inning if necessary.

On the other hand, Gardy and Molly might have felt that starting Polanco today would require too much attention for nine innings -- positioning, covering bases, etc. -- and that would be a valid reason for keeping him on the bench too. (setting aside the whole Florimon question.)

Handshake.

Thank you. For all of this. For considering other possibilities. For the hand shake. This is a very find example for all of us. :)

Tried Sherlock but just couldn't get into it. I've never even looked at Doctor Who but then I'm not much into sci-fi. But thanks for the heads up.

Florimon does not have a hit with runners in scoring position this season.

I don't get it. Why isn't Polanco starting?!

All the sudden Gardy is hung up on infield positioning

I found it on comcast's website. Then called my mom and told her what the channel number it was.

Good daughter.

Cool. Finding anything on Comcast's web site is no mean feat. And I'm about to switch my phone and Internet over to them. Scares the heck out of me.

heh ... my mom was able to get the game going on the computer, but couldn't figure out how to find FS1 on the TV ... but given she's 84, I give her props. But it's much more comfortable for them to be sitting in their Ekornes loungers watching on a larger screen.

He makes an out and his average only goes down to .092. It's hard to fall any further, eh?

I found a 2011 article about pitchers hitting and I pulled this quote:"The mean batting average and OPS of these 85 qualifying pitchers are approximately .135 and .340."

Ha. Ha.

Yes but an experienced throwing error.

ahhh, with the experienced throwing error, baserunners only move up ONE base.

This is a big advantage

"It was 50 shades of Grey"... Then she started wondering exactly what the hell went on.

Just tell her to send along some "Just For Men" and L'Oreal tonight.

No worries.

On second thought, skip the L'Oreal.

I'm betting 95% of the gray was men. Every woman I know loses weight and gets her hair colored and cut before a reunion.

If Twins don't score last night in the 9th, it would be 16 innings of futility for the offense...

Hughes should have been removed after the second batter of the inning reached. He pitched well but was left in far too long and his numbers and our chances to win are marred.

Outside of the white sox series, these last two weeks have felt like the last 3 seasons.

Arcia fittingly strikes out to end it. Shut out for the fifth time this year. Ten road losses in a row. Lowest point of the season, getting lower each day.

Last place, now third worst winning percentage in the AL, ahead of only the last-place teams in the East and West divisions.

Closer to the worst record in the league (4 games, only 2 teams to pass) than the 2nd wild card (6.5 games, 8 teams to pass).
