Isn't defense supposed to be his strong suit?

I know piling on Florimon is fun and all... But... Escobar also wheeled away because he couldn't see it either.

The Sun can happen to anyone.

Now... as for his hitting. I don't think the sun is in his eyes at the plate.

That's true, apologies to Florimon for the unfair shot about his defense.

Yeah... But Some Cheap Sunglasses wouldn't have been a bad idea either. :D

Nolasco should have bought him a pair...could have saved him an RBI ground rule double.

Ooh, Florimon may actually dip below .100 today. That's just depressing. You would think he could bunt and bat .100. I bet most pitchers have better BA than that.

If not for the rules specifying DH for the pitcher, I honestly believe Mauer should have batted for PFlo, and Nolasco should be the one taking hacks.

Not a bad idea, but it really makes management look bad to do that. Also, what if Nolasco gets hurt running the bases?...Hey! What if Nolasco gets hurt running the bases!

You know, I was thinking Nolasco didn't look too good until I read this:

At least he hasn't had a blowout inning yet.

Could we send Nolasco to the minors? I am ok with exposing him and his contract to waivers at this point. I someone wants to claim him, That would be ok and we can bring someone up that deserves to be here. I see we demoted Pino so that means someone else will pitch in his place but it is time to do something with Nolasco so he can get straightened out. It almost seems like he is content with loosing now he has the big payday from his contract.

You know what. The game is already kind of lost and our bull pen is overused. Let him there earn his money until his arm falls off. What to do with this guy? Performance wise, he is the least deserving of his spot. And we have him with a 4 year contract.

60-Day DL, May and Meyer added to the rotation, obviously :th_alc:

Danny Santana MRI is back... he has a bone bruise and is day to day. No damage to ligaments.

How did Santana get a bone bruise on his left knee last night?

Didn't it have to be there and then aggravated or something?

Anybody remember what happened in the field -- did he do that just rounding first?

Huh?

Or was the "left knee" thing just Dick talking through his hat?

I heard it on the radio, so we can't blame Dick for any misinformation.

I was watching last night, he rounded first and you could see he felt it a few steps later, or he stopped running on it a few steps later. I couldn't tell you how it happened exactly.

Yeah... he pulled up lame halfway between first and second. He looked fine going to first.

Maybe someone in the medical field can explain how one can get a bone bruise from running. I thought they were caused by contusions, like he had been hit by a pitch in the leg or something.

Yeah....that's the ticket!

Bone bruises take an eternity to heal.
