sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Come on, Fryer and Florimon!
kdrupp09 Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 17 inning scoreless streak for Gibson!
kdrupp09 Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Seriously?? I just looked at Florimon's stats, he is hitting .108. Scratch that, after a strikeout, .106
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 This is one of my favourite versions of Abilene Nice. I'm not normally a C&W fan, but when it's heavier on the W like this, it's not so hard to take.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 17 inning scoreless streak for Gibson! Nice jinx.....d'oh!!!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 The F and F boys in the 8-9 spots.....there's a ban in there just waiting to be had, even in a game thread. F and F boys LOL and how'd they do in their first ABs?... Struck out looking, struck out looking..
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Hard to believe both Fryer and the Florimonster would both strike out looking.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Who expected Fenway to host a series of pitching duels?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Nice. I'm not normally a C&W fan, but when it's heavier on the W like this, it's not so hard to take. Yeah I like my Country with a healthy dose of outlaw and Honky Tonk.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Hard to believe both Fryer and the Florimonster would both strike out looking. Well, swinging can distract ya from seeing where it goes. I'm sure they're gonna come through later in the game when it matters?
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Well, swinging can distract ya from seeing where it goes. I'm sure they're gonna come through later in the game when it matters? That's The Ticket.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Willingham had himself a long foul ball in that last strike out... Wonder if he can straighten one out later.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Willingham had himself a long foul ball in that last strike out... Wonder if he can straighten one out later. If he does, he could have himself a home run.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Nice snag of a liner down the line by Escobar!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Looks to me like Mr. Gibson has figured out how to pitch on the road.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Definitely missing some bats today, nice!
kdrupp09 Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Up to 5 strikeouts through 4 innings. Won't discuss what he has going.
Whammy Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Won't discuss what he has going. Curveball?
WLFINN Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Geez at least Colabello gave us a few weeks before he turned into a pumpkin......
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 This game would be a lot different if Pedroia wasn't out there.
kdrupp09 Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Now if everyone could hit like Parmelee, who is 2 for 2!
WLFINN Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 COuld have used a couple hits from the RF'er the last coupla days
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Chris Parmelee has no regard for this pitchers' duel.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Chris Parmelee has no regard for this pitchers' duel. Hope he's not violating some Unwritten Rule of Baseball by doing this.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Chris Parmelee has no regard for this pitchers' duel. Yup. He's got two singles, (wound up at 1st the 1st time, and at 2nd the 2nd time. I'm hoping he doesn't stop at 3rd the next time) and had a ball over his head kick off his feet/shins into the bullpen for a ground rule double.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Gibson seems to get better with every start.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 If he does, he could have himself a home run. I hope so. Gotta wait another inning to see. Not too long though. This ball game is flying by.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 The NESN broadcast team I'm listening to is pretty good. Don Orsillo on PBP with Jerry Remy doing color. The accent by Remy is as thick as the local chowdah. They like their Sox but not obnoxiously. I'm enjoying.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Where'd all these Strikeouts come from?
