Well, wow, ya learn something every day ... I really thought it was Tuscon. But now that I look at it, it looks wrong. They both look wrong to me.

Don't feel bad. I thought is was Sheecahgo.

Nope. Four at a time, frozen, on a stick. Meatkabobcicle. Patent pending.

Rent some space and debut 'em at the state fair.

When the subject of cities that are just wrong comes up, Tucson is in the discussion.

Hmm. If I can get frier fat to stick to frozen stuff, I'll see that you get your cut.

You just have to bread or batter your frozen stuff.

Well, but yeah, that's worse. Perspective, Chief.

We should've packaged Duensing in a trade years ago.

I've been advocating this for ages. This is why I just don't trust him. Dump him and bring up Ibarra or Johnson. Then dump Burton for Tonkin.

Word History: People from Chicago ought to like onions. The name Chicago is first recorded in 1688 in a French document, where it appears as Chigagou, an Algonquian word meaning "onion field." In explanation of this name, the document states there that wild onion or garlic grew profusely in the area.

Ok, then maybe it really is more technically feasible than my other State Fair idea, Defibrillator on a Stick.

Doumit's Twins career summed up in the trivia question 'Most switch hitter HR's in Target Field history'. Dick and Tom stumped.

Jeeze, I just found out that my youngest is playing her first match for Augsburg tonight. Some tournament at Bethel. Why doesn't anyone think to inform Dad about this stuff until the last minute?

Nunez' single sounded like a home run off the bat. He's showing a glimmer of potential as a utility guy who could actually be a plus player if used right and able to play a corner OF spot ok.

I like to drop knowledge on people too, but it's led to my family calling me Cliffy.

Is that another name for Tuscon Green?

He won the WSOP a few years back. Did he have to go into the witness protection program?

That sounds dirty but I don't even know why.

Two steps forward, four back is no way to mount a comeback.

Tucson is Pascua Yaqui for "Fart".

'Specially when it's not in that order.

Timing might not be ideal, but you're ahead of the game if it's anything but 'Please send money!' Sounds like a fun way to finish the weekend.

Well, looks like I need a bigger yard.

Or something other than rocks, sand and cacti in it.

I remember reading The Onion Field when I was like 6. The nosey neighbor lady chewed my Mom out for letting me read that. My Mom just shrugged and said, "he read The Naked and the Dead last week, just because it had Naked in the title".

Comiskey Park, the Onion Field of Dreams.

/ was trying to figure out how to work the novel in as a setup - tough because it's in LA - then found that Gibby did the honors for me in the meantime

Good effort by Santana. His instinct (from what little I've seen) has been to turn and play balls off the wall but the jumping catch at the wall is part of the CF repertoire, and he's started to do that.

She just graduated from HS last week. She hasn't even had a practice with them yet. It's just an exhibition, she's nervous, but she will kick butt. It's a shame she is only 5'6". She is one of the best setters I have ever watched play.

Just think how much more popular Catcher in the Rye would have been with a more suggestive title than one implying baseball and agriculture.

The "jumping" part, anyway.
