Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 That power surge with the move from catcher to first is taking its time kicking in...But the corresponding batting average dip has set right in.

cmathewson Provisional Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Another game without two guys eligible to come off the DL, who might give this anemic offense some life. But you don't want to fly four guys across country to maybe win a couple of games. That would be expensive.
GCTF Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 http://cdn.mondomedia.com/wp-content/uploads/Cuddles-300x300.jpg Hermann and Florimon should spend some time with that Cuddles.
Twinsoholic Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Mauer is really playing average baseball this season. 2 strikeouts today. His average is around .280, and he only has 14 rbis. He certainly is not playing like a superstar. I hope he starts playing that way soon.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I'm gonna go all Dankind on Mauer soon. http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/227169i6165B99218F75ACB/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&px=-1
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Well, that makes the throwout by Zukesie that much more timely. Kind of cute the way Santana chased it like it wasn't going to be 50+ feet out. Kids...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I'm glad we threw out the runner trying to steal 2nd... Back to a 2 run deficit. (and this time not much the outfielders coulda done.)

Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 What do you suppose Nolasco's reaction was when he saw the lineup?
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 No Hicksie against a left hander. Is Fuld ready to come up too?

LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 No Hicksie against a left hander. Is Fuld ready to come up too? That was the strangest thing about the lineup to me. Why not let the kid do the one thing that's going well for him?
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 What do you suppose Nolasco's reaction was when he saw the lineup? lol...but seriously, he went into a snit last year when he wasn't given the choice of which game to pitch in a double-header, despite his seniority, so there's a fighting chance he gets a little sensitive to clown car OF alignments.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Santana's OF throw had a worse slice than my golf swing. And he came awfully close to catching that ball with his face...
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Surprised by the lineup. Not surprised that the Giants are ahead. I sure would like to see a few guys swinging the bat well.

Why not let the kid do the one thing that's going well for him? x 1000. I would rather have Hicks and Kubel and a chance for a couple base on balls, than two infielders in the outfield.
GCTF Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 So after this year and next year and the year after that Nolasco only has one more year to go, right?

Dick: "Santana's got a great arm!" (throw is wide left of plate by 20 feet)Bert: "Nothing to see here..."[Meanwhile back to the action....Santana goes back and to his left around 140 feet to deep Triples Alley and traps a fly ball against his ear.... that Parmelee was about 100 feet closer to].
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 So after this year and next year and the year after that Nolasco only has one more year to go, right?Or he could get lucky and have a nice August and September followed by an offseason extension...

Add to it the infielders in the outfield, poor hitting lineup, and the best fielding OF on the current active roster who has .05 higher BA against left vs right splits is sitting out. I'm betting he lost is mind in Gardy's office.
