Well... To be honest the Cat hates us. It was part of a wild litter of kittens found in a boat without a mother. We had no idea what that meant when we brought that home.

 

It's been 10 years of hissing... But I'm sitting here watching the game... My wife comes in with a box.

 

Says to me... "They called... They can take her now"

 

I say "you're serious" "Now?"

 

"Yep Now" she grabs the cat... It makes a terrible ruckus... Into the box and away she went.

 

It was like 30 seconds in between pitches and poof...

 

Now I'm convinced I'm going to an old folks home when thing get tough later.

Markedly different vibe this year. Over the past 3 years, there's no way the Twins win this game. A few more gamers in the lineup, plus the luck factor part of the game is finally evening out. The calls for Hughes's head have been effectively silenced. After the top of the 7th, I couldn't tell if Andy and Gardy were more happy for Hughes or their own good fortunes.

He kind of sounds like he could be a White Sox fan -- kind of has that feral White Sox look as well.

 

I should go take advantage of the weather and take my non-cat pet for a walk. She has never attacked any senior citizens as a holiday gift.

Hard to tell, and i guess that's the point of euphemisms. But the sympathy probably is appreciated either way.

 

If i may, i'll embrace the farm euphemism, and imagine Rope battling her tail off at triple A, and making it back to the majors as a tiger like other great former twins... Cats have 9 lives after all. (What's the song with the refrain -- "But... the cat came back.")

 

Anyway, now i'll distract myself with hockey, if it's okay.
