Hard to tell, and i guess that's the point of euphemisms. But the sympathy probably is appreciated either way.

 

If i may, i'll embrace the farm euphemism, and imagine Rope battling her tail off at triple A, and making it back to the majors as a tiger like other great former twins... Cats have 9 lives after all. (What's the song with the refrain -- "But... the cat came back.")

 

Anyway, now i'll distract myself with hockey, if it's okay.

 

It was an actual farm... In a barn with 6 horses. And other cats...

 

I wouldn't have agreed to the vet. She was mean but I'm not that guy.
