Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Yeah, OUTSIDE, fending for himself. He wasn't raised as a barn cat. Gonna have to learn
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Well... To be honest the Cat hates us. It was part of a wild litter of kittens found in a boat without a mother. We had no idea what that meant when we brought that home. It's been 10 years of hissing... But I'm sitting here watching the game... My wife comes in with a box. Says to me... "They called... They can take her now" I say "you're serious" "Now?" "Yep Now" she grabs the cat... It makes a terrible ruckus... Into the box and away she went. It was like 30 seconds in between pitches and poof... Now I'm convinced I'm going to an old folks home when thing get tough later. A real woman of action. You're a lucky man.

glunn Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 A Twins win tomorrow puts them in a tie for first place in the division.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 A Twins win tomorrow puts them in a tie for first place in the division.Yeah, but likely not a game that will get played if tomorrow's forecast holds up.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Or maybe you will be put on a farm. Or in the backyard in a Macy's box.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Now I just need a Wild victory tonight.

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Markedly different vibe this year. Over the past 3 years, there's no way the Twins win this game. A few more gamers in the lineup, plus the luck factor part of the game is finally evening out. The calls for Hughes's head have been effectively silenced. After the top of the 7th, I couldn't tell if Andy and Gardy were more happy for Hughes or their own good fortunes.

D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 It is going to be kind of quiet around here once Riverbrian's wife decides if she wants to put him in a home or a farm or a shoe box. Hopefully she will at least wait until the All-Star Break.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 My Cat Named "Rope". I think this was from the Christmas it wouldn't let my kids get to the presents. Or it could have been the Christmas that it attacked Grandma's face So many memories... It's hard to keep them straight. Ash... Chief... Gibby... Glunn... ChiTown... Everyone... If you could say a few words. It'd be appreciated.

I should go take advantage of the weather and take my non-cat pet for a walk. She has never attacked any senior citizens as a holiday gift.

He is free to romp and play with the assorted farm denizens. Free to breathe in that fresh farm air. I raise my Firkin in your honor.

So the trip to the farm ... was a euphemism for putting him down???? Ugh. A perfectly healthy kitty ... so what if he hissed ... sigh ... you saved him just to, to, to ... I can't say it. Poor kitty

A perfectly healthy kitty ... so what if he hissed ... sigh ... you saved him just to, to, to ... I can't say it. Poor kitty Gosh, i hope not! (Rereading earlier post... ah, Rope is a her...) Hard to tell, and i guess that's the point of euphemisms. But the sympathy probably is appreciated either way. If i may, i'll embrace the farm euphemism, and imagine Rope battling her tail off at triple A, and making it back to the majors as a tiger like other great former twins... Cats have 9 lives after all. (What's the song with the refrain -- "But... the cat came back.") Anyway, now i'll distract myself with hockey, if it's okay.
