LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Is Derek Norris related to Chuck? No, but his beard is. It fought him to a draw in the Norris family reunion cage match...
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 It annoys me that Gardy leaves Correia in for more pitches when he's getting lit up than in his first outing in Chicago when he was sailing along after a rough couple innings. Kevin really (insert cliche) to give us nearly six solid innings today despite not having his best stuff.
Reider Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 But we still could have offered him more. For sure.. there's been plenty of good players that the Twins could have offered more money over the years, but decided not to.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Lowrie lucky not to have ended up with stitching imprint tattooed onto his forehead.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Florimon heard about the trade.
Reider Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 And Pedro gets a hit! That's 2 quality at bats today.
Chance Provisional Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Now if Dozier and Mauer can follow Florimon's lead....
thetank Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 is Kevin still gonna be on the mound? He's going to win the Cy Young this year.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Bremer: "Nick Punto in to pinch run for Lowrie. Let's see if he slides into first..." Couldn't help but laugh.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 Did my favorite Pitcher just knock my Fantasy SS/2B eligible Player out of the game! Great... Like I can replace him with Florimon or Tejada.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Deduno is even more interesting to watch now that he's added the balk to his arsenal...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 Balks are too touchy at times.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Did my favorite Pitcher just knock my Fantasy SS/2B eligible Player out of the game! Great... Like I can replace him with Florimon or Tejada.Better beat the rush and stash Eduardo Nunez...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 Better beat the rush and stash Eduardo Nunez... I think I've owned Nunez about 8 times the past 3 years.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Balks are too touchy at times.Yeah. As I understand it the intent of the rule is to prevent the pitcher from faking out batters and baserunners. Hard to see how a microtremor like that could have anybody jumping out of their shoes, but it was technically illegal. Sigh.
Reider Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I'm a Deduno fan, but he needs to be better.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I think I've owned Nunez about 8 times the past 3 years. So have most of the pitchers he's faced (*rimshot*).http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/500x/44169486.jpg
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Cola is co-AL Player of the Week, and I'll bet he could still work an entire shift behind the counter at NAPA without being recognized more than once or twice tops.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 And Pedro gets a hit! That's 2 quality at bats today. Amazing what having someone after your job right in your rearview mirror will do.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Amazing what having someone after your job right in your rearview mirror will do.PFlo not going gently into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light!...hitting future utility infielder.http://i.ytimg.com/vi/byJCcMJZElg/0.jpg
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Starting to worry that Zukesie's .429 batting average may not be sustainable...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 I'd hate to be Oakland Tomorrow!!!
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I'd hate to be Oakland Tomorrow!!! They're probably happy to be some place where the sewers don't back up into the clubhouse.
snepp Verified Member Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Time for a Homer Dick Bremer is always available for a moderate guest fee.
Chief_Roberts Provisional Member Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Twins starters are dead ass last in MLB with a combined 6.32 ERA, the bullpen is third to last with a 6.66 ERA.
