Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Oh man ... I'm blaming that shot on snepp
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Well, it's only the first start of the year, but Nolasco needs to figure out what the hell he is doing out there. Leaving tons of pitches up. I've seen him throw about two really good pitches.

The city repaved my alley last year, so now all the snowmelt runs right into my backyard. It took me 3 days to pump it all out.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Past a diving Mauer! Was that a Dive? I was expecting to Mauer to look at the camera and say "Live From New York... it's Saturday Night"!!!
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 On Replay... We have the technology to decifer the exact trajectory of a pitch, including the number of rotations and the degree of movement. Yet, it is not used to improve ball/strike calls. I will never understand the resistance to this. Who is this silent majority that derives so much pleasure from an umpire guessing at borderline pitches?
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 "I can't wait for Correia to pitch on Wednesday" Said no one ever.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 That's good, right? It's positively out of this world.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 That's good, right?Probably, but to be safe we should wait to see what his xWHIP was, so we know if he was just getting lucky or not...
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 When I lived in Chicago, we used to call US Cellular Field "The Cuze". Mainly because Joan Cusak was everywhere with US Cellular ads that summer, that and it just sort of had a nice ring to it.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Real basement dwellers don't have windows. I can relate... I think visibility right now is 17 inches. I paid money for this window and right now... I'm getting very little value.
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Surprise surprise. I'm sure the auto-workers union wasn't crazy about replacing workers with robots either.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Where's the "thumbs down/jealous button"? Just to be clear: that was actually from a hike last summer. The view out my window is pine trees.

Although I did just get revived a little when he said Jason Kubel was one of the fastest guys in the Twins organization before he hurt his knee. What??????
