  1. Well I just think with pitching as scarce as it is it would be tough to give up Santana. The cleanse i would do on the staff is to flush Colon.... sorry couldn't help it
  2. The thing I don't understand with this often stated line of thinking is how do people think it is easy to replace this kind of pitcher in free agency? Seems to me of all the past signings he is the only one who panned out. It would have to be a huge haul for me to be on board.
  3. Sports seem to be the most racially integrated area of our society with some dominated by minorities. Watch sports media versus the overall media where minorities are more than well represented.
  4. Even though it may be counter intuitive on the surface I liked this deal better if we picked up the money. Maybe Falvey is smooth enough to pry cash from a bankers white knuckled clutches
  5. I don't think Colon needs to be mentioned when discussing the rotation going forward. Meijia sent down? I think he's easily been our third best starter. For a few games he was out performing all the others. Needs to learn to finish guys off. I had finally given up on Gibby the Nibbly but, sucker that i am, he's got me hoping again! Gibby! You can do it buddy! Santana Berrios MEIJIA Garcia Mr Gibson What I would start with
  6. Hu was further along and definitey a higher floor prospect than Ynoa
  7. My girlfriend tells me I could communicate better, maybe she's right! I meant that one of those guys could go on a ten game run like Duffy did a couple of years ago. I like Duffy in the pen too
  8. Hildenberger gives up a two run dinger today just goes to show ya
  9. Can't say I have a problem with going to Rodgers at that point, it has worked all year. I would like to see Molitor go to Hildenberger more often. He was surely rested. And where the heck is Busenitz?
  10. Damn Mr Gordon is trim! A string bean. Well Stewart has a middling career but 22nd round Hildy does a Nesek impression and a guy we got for Nunuez turns into a number three and everything evens out except Stewart can't shake the 4 hanging over his head.
  11. Jorge looked pretty damn good to me! More velocity than advertised. Time for AAA
  12. Yeah I would remove Breslow too but maybe Melo just isn't responding
  13. Yeah I don't see a lot of wall sense out of Buxton. Kepler was noticeably much more adept with the wall when he was in center. That would be Buxton's only defensive flaw.
  14. If Lewis hits his potential, Enlow becomes a #1 or #2 and Leach becomes a #3 we will all be residing in never never land baby! To me this is the kind of unrealistic thinking that causes all the consternation we had yesterday. IMO if one of these things happen that could be considered a good outcome with the success of a lessor pick succeeding sprinkled in.
  15. I think a good rule of thumb is if someone is perceived as a fast riser or very polished you can hope they will ascend quickly but probably shouldn't count on it
  16. Like the bullpen pitch tracker! How did you come up with the 20 pitch threshold? Belisle seems to get lit up on the second day when he goes two in a row. Gibby has always had a hard time following a good performance.
  17. "Hopefully doesn't follow such notables as Denard Span, Carlos Gomez, Ben Revere and Aaaron Hicks to excellent play in other lands." Span and Revere were already what they are before we traded them. Excellent play? I wouldn't go that far.
  18. Here I am excitedly reading a gamer on TD! and I get to the comments enter some weird interdimensional warp and end up in the dreaded Strib comment section. Yikes
  19. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm in!
  20. Regardless of the eye-opening stats, you know that's something the front office is going to demand improve prior to any promotion. And rightly so. This is something I see as different with the new regime. A definite plan for pitchers to follow to improve and earn promotions.
