    Lewis absolutely has the talent... that never went anywhere.... the question is if he can stay healthy for long enough periods of time to truly get comfortable at the plate so that he can rake. History shows that when he gets injured, it takes him a long time to get back to baseline (potentially because he comes back sooner than he should) It is hard for the Twins to depend on him for their long term plans because of that injury history....

    Leadership 101.... how is Rocco not responsible for team culture?.... good lord, if he is not good at in game manager, nor establishing good culture.... would someone remind me what exactly he brings to the table? (disclaimer... I was one earliest on the bandwagon for 'fire Rocco' starting years ago because I didn't see leadership nor great in game management so I am wildly biased when processing all new information at this point)

    If they slash the payroll the team gets even worse and attendance/ratings plumet further which substantially reduces the franchise value. Even from a selfish business perspective they should increase payroll to break the above deleterious positive feedback cycle. If the Pohlads want to steer into the death spiral though.... that is their prerogative

    We are not telling you not to enjoy baseball anymore... we are telling you that if you care to send a message to the Pohlads.. the only way is by hurting their revenue via empty stadiums and crappy viewing ratings ... You appear to not be very concerned about the Pohlads and their decisions....which means you should absolutely keep going to games!

    This....people need to vote with their feet. The Pohlads will not care about booing but they will care eventually about the deafening silence of an empty stadium. I'm not in Minnesota... but to the Twins fans that are.... if you are tempted to go to the Twins game next summer... go to the lake instead.... you will be happy with your choice.

    This is the key... people need to vote with their feet. A true and sustained mass exodus of the fan base will hurt the Pohlad's financially and that is all they will listen too. If they 'take their toys and go home' by selling the team outside of the state... so be it... we do not need to be held hostage to a rotten franchise.

    Yes to Lopez trade for the right price... no to Ryan.... he will still be relevant to 2027 and beyond. You cannot simply replace a #1 pitcher... don't even try I would keep Ober as well.

    I'm certainly confident that the Pohlads will use it as a scare tactic at some point in the future... completely on brand....

Of course Rocco is happy... he is going to get paid a great salary for more years when he will clearly never manage a MLB team after his tenure here.

    A rebuild was absolutely needed, but why does the same FO get a second chance to build after their first build sucked?

    Raya should be in the MLB bullpen next year and likely Priellip too. I hope Zebby can stick as a starter (some of them have to!), but you could be right I don't think Lewis ever sticks in the MLB and is certainly not a natrual fit for the bullpen unless in long relief.

If it counts for something.... it is nominally more than a replacement player who could be paid 30+ million less. Oh.... and he is only going to get worse toward the end of his contract... so there is that...
