Trade Duran, Jax, Coloumbe, Castro, Stewart, Bader, Paddack, Vazquez (pitchers and catchers always bring back more than you think), France, Larnach, and Topa. If a team offers a sweetheart deal for Buck and he waives his no trade to play for a championship... do that too (I really like Buck, but he is not part of the next 'core') Trade Correa for anything if someone is willing to take the salary (he is going to be an albatross the last two years... which is why nobody would probably take him). Keep Ryan, Ober and the other controllable pitching Keep Lopez for now so you can trade higher on him at some point in the future.

Even when healthy, he can't hit strikes... so big problems.... shine is already off a bit but we should package him in a trade ASAP while he is still worth something

Yes! More specifically Royce.... maybe he can stay healthy there and get back to peak hitting form if he is able to stay healthy

Week in Review: Bucking Into The Break
D.C Twins replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I of course would like the ownership stockpile younger controllable talent so that we have the money available to fill in the holes around them when we find out where they are. I would play Julian, Miranda, ERod, Keaschall, Martin, and hell even Sabato for an extended period of time the rest of the year. By the end, lets figure out what we have. Let's at least get some questions answered. I'd rather see the younger pitchers pitching than Paddack... Trade him if there is value Let's see Raya and others in the MiLB in the bullpen this year after trading Duran and Jax for value. To be clear.... this will probably make us worse THIS year.... but mediocrity means nothing to me personally so I'd rather do the above.- 43 replies

Week in Review: Bucking Into The Break
D.C Twins replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
1. Correa: Trade him for salary dump alone if possible (probably not); if not squeeze as much as possible out of the next 2 years with 3rd year a possible dump if he has become an albatross at that point. 2. Lewis: Not part of future plans except maybe 1st base or DH when available (perhaps available more often if 1B/DH). Ride out arbitrary years if reasonable... if not trade or let him go.... let him bolt when a FA.- 43 replies

Week in Review: Bucking Into The Break

Good Correa is never coming back.... he is far more likely to break down in the second half of the season than magically recapture his Houston days.... Lewis cannot be part of any plan going forward.... just a pleasant surprise during the brief periods that he is healthy and hitting- 43 replies

Week in Review: Bucking Into The Break

Nick... you are essentially advocating for prolonged mediocrity.... which for me is the worst place to be in sports. Keep everyone under 26 and controllable SP. Trade the rest and build toward being great in 2027-8. The second half of this season and next can be like the 1984-1986 Twins.... getting young talent experience and seeing what we have and what we need. We do not need to cling to elite bullpen arms until 2027.....- 43 replies

I would never overtly root for any injuries. But if they do happen at SS for any big payroll/high expectation teams.... give them Correa for whatever as soon as possible!

Week in Review: Bucking Into The Break
D.C Twins replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I would not stop with expiring contracts; I would trade high on Duran and Jax I definitely think we can get more than 'middling prospects' for: Duran, Jax, and Castro I think we could possibly get something of value for Paddack, Stewart, Coloumbe, Topa Bader and France would probably only be sweeteners. If a high payroll team has an injury at SS... dump Correa on them for sure if they will take him (even for just a middling prospect!). Open up spots and let the kids play- 43 replies

Turns out there was a reason two teams tore up a contract after a comprehensive medical exam. The last 3 years of the contract are gonna be a doozy
