  1. Late to the party, buuuuutttt.... Good Lord... it was simply a X-MAS MIRACLE that we were able to unload Correa. He was replacement level-ish this year but will be an absolute disaster by the end of this contract. Nick.... he is already not a SS and it is on record that he no longer wanted to be one.... why are you arguing like he would have been our SS next year if we still had him? What if he became petulant and refused to play SS next year for us even if we wanted?! Who is to say that his feet would even allow it? Nick... you are my favorite TD columnist and the reason I came to TD.... but your take on the C4 trade is emotional and irrational.
  2. If Sabato ends up making the MLB and having an impact, it will be one of the best prospect comeback stories I've seen in a loooooooooooooooooooong time.... and I would be feasting on crow.... and I'm totally for it!
  3. Evan as the Sell Baby Sell guy... You do NOT trade Ryan at the deadline unless it is a HISTORICALLY good offer. There is no world where a mid-market team can replace him
  4. You do not need elite closers for a team that is not yet ready to compete for a championship. The 2026 Twins will not be ready to compete for a championship. We will not sign Jax or Duran to a long term contract so they'll be gone ~2027 anyway..... If there is good trade to be had... take it! (Obviously keep them if there offers are not where they need to be.... which should include a good catching prospect...)
  5. Correa has already gone over the cliff and is currently in free fall... Lewis cannot be depended on and therefore cannot be part of any serious plans. Except for controllable starting pitchers and position players <27 ... for a respectable return... SELL BABY SELL!
  6. yeah... I think he could bring back a nice return similar to Edwardo Escobar
  7. He is a relative speed demon compared to what he will be doing the last 2 years of his contract.... buckle up... it's gonna be a rough ride.....
  8. Great work Zebby... but still... SELL BABY SELL! (this reinforces that Paddack can go.... and pitching always brings back more than you think... can help a team get to the playoffs and then bolster the bullpen0
  9. I fear that his last 2 years of the contract will make this year look like All Star level play....
  10. Thank you for asking... I'll take 'D'... All Of The Above (always the answer on multiple choice tests)
  11. I see that you are in the bargaining stage of grief.... I am at the acceptance phase and here to welcome you when you are ready :)
  12. Key Takeaways From Series: 1. Paddack showed well to hopefully gain last minute trade intrerest 2. Duran and Jax showed poorly to stimulate trade interest/return SELL BABY SELL!
  13. Trade them both if the price is right... a highly ranked catching prospect is mandatory for one of the packages. Varland and Raya to the back of the pen for the rest of the year to see what we have
  14. Ryan and controllable pitching stays..... everything else is on the table for the right price.
  15. "Monday, we'll run a two-part series from Eric Blonigen on how the team could approach the deadline as buyers." I'll be a hard pass on that two-part series...
  16. 'Falvey is a smart and deeply respected baseball man.' Out of curiosity, is one criteria for the above picking up a manager's option year early when there would be no teams bidding against you for his services during the offseason?
  17. Correa is not part of a 'core' to build around He sole member of the 'rapidly eroding talent destined to be an albatross' category to desperately try to dump on another team.
