    McCusker pinch hitting is a nice microcosm for the state of this team... and franchise for that matter...

    MLB pitchers are going to chew Rodriguez up and spit him out. They will be able through strikes and more consistently hit their spots. Rodriguez does not hit well enough in the strike zone which is fine for AAA where he can get a bunch of walks but that will NOT translate to the BIGs

    He is not the Fall Guy... objectively, he is not one of the 30 best managers in the world.... or even close for that matter. He should have been fired looooong ago. Him getting his option year picked up when there was NO TEAM waiting to hire him was BONKERS (especially tone deaf when if they were trying to cut salary). If they really wanted him back they could have signed him for less. Again, there would be NO competition for his services. But again, as I've posted elsewhere, I want him to stay now so he can have a daily front row seat to the S- Show that he helped create and suffer as he deserves.

    Well Buck is clearly starting to rethink things. Players are usually publicly critical of leadership when they have decided it is time or nearly time to go. Joe Ryan is clearly signaling that he wants out. I think these comments by Buck ('lots of mistakes'!) are the beginning of his end here. He is going to make leadership/ownership miserable (as he should) paving the way to eventually be traded one of a select few team on his list. Honestly, it's probably right for the Twins given their current timelines What a S- Show...

    Clemens and Larnach are not worth their arbitration numbers. I hope they keep Ryan and trade Lopez (for the right return of course) I'm OK with a low payroll next year as long as they let the kids play. I do NOT want to see a bunch of scrap heap veterans brought in....
