  1. I'm a huge Dobnak fan! By all accounts, he is a great guy and teammate! I'm glad he got paid... and no, his salary is not holding the Twins back compared to MANY other issues. But, I do have eyes wide open that he is unlikely to contribute to any playoff caliber Twins team.
  2. The Twins have many challenges ahead of them, but paying Castro 6.2 mil should absolutely NOT be one of them.
  3. I think you missed the memo that the Twins will not be increasing payroll this year. With lots-o-current-players that will cost more....zero chance for big outside signings.
  4. Actually it is the opposite.... they decided to sell at least a year ago if not longer when they started to slash cost in preparation for the sale....business 101...
  5. Yeah, but they have to live in Florida.... a punishment far worse than taxes
  6. Just when I thought I was out (until Rocco gone)... they sucked me back in (with Pohlads gone?!)....
  7. With the understanding that neither the Twins nor TD need me in the least bit.... I'll always be a Twins fan, but I'm taking a hiatus until Rocco is unceremoniously fired one day. Good luck to all and see you on the flip side!
  8. Don't you wish your job cared less about leadership and results so that you would 'never have to worry about job security?" Pictured below is Rocco feeling satisfied that when he hyper focuses on one data point at the expense of all other logic....he can be a VERY happy man!
  9. No post game summary... so I'll put this here... from an ESPN article. "As for his future in Minnesota, Baldelli said Saturday that he is "never stressed" over his job security and that he is "fully motivated and enjoy what I do." Coming after a historical collapse and after two days of using Margot and Julian as his leadoff hitters....again...
  10. I'll always be a Twins Fan, but I'll be on a hiatus from 'loving' the Twins again until the Rocco Era eventually comes to an unceremonious conclusion (oh... and it will...and to keep repeating the repeatable.... he will never manage another MLB team... trust me that nobody else out there is clamoring for his 'services' ) The Vikings on the other hand have TWO elite coaches.... I don't know how well their season will ultimately end up, but I know the coaches will have maxed out the talent of the team!
  11. Both things can be true 1. It is almost a miracle that Buck played more than 80 game in CF this year and his WAR for 15 mil THIS year was a good deal. 2. There is no reason to ever 'celebrate' someone playing less than 2/3s of the games
  12. If the Twins bring back Rocco... they are going to experience something far worse than disappointment, frustration and anger..... they are going to experience indifference... by enough fans that it will hurt their bottom line. Of course, if the lowering payroll, decreasing performance, fan apathy death spiral continues.... in 2-3 years they will start threatening to move in an attempt to hold the fans hostage.... and then actually move if it doesn't work.... Bank on it
  13. Thank you for the hardy laugh.... The Pohlads couldn't bankrupt themselves on the Twins even if they made it their full time job
  14. THEILBAR TO THE... um...er....ah... rescue?
  15. Apparently not enough to prevent him from being slotted in as batting leadoff last night 🙃🙄
  16. THIS was the type of bullpen urgency needed in the second game of the double header on Sunday when the Twins still had a chance! But no.... Irvin... the castoff that lasted a couple weeks was given the high leverage opportunity at the pivotal point in the season. (all while Alaca down in AAA) On a separate note. Julian leading off....REALLY.... Good Lord Rocco... make it stop
  17. Many of us have been voting for Rocco to be that change for almost 3 years (fingers and toes crossed!) Would have loved a follow up question for Correa..."has your manager exuded any sense of urgency or leadership? Has he encouraged others to do extra things like Correa?"
  18. MAKE IT OFFICIAL! (it's over)
  19. Well researched.... but still a hard no as the leadoff hitter in a game of consequence because he is not fast, is not an on base machine, and not the first choice on the team to get as many ABs as early as possible.
