  1. Swelling occurs around inflammation..... He best not return until it is gone. His attitude and outlook are a bit concerning. I foresee more extended IL stints ahead. Any long term extension for Royce would be malpractice.
  2. Cody, it looks like you are in the bargaining phase of grief :)
  3. So, what exactly has Rocco brought to the table that would be missed?
  4. I've been touting this for 3 years now... I'm sure he is a perfectly good person and will find a nice home in a front office.... BUT he is not an in-game strategist, nor tactician. MOST importantly, he is NOT a leader of men. (are we sure that Buck and Correa have not quit on him already?) He'll never manage another MLB team. No team is looking to swoop him up. End it now or end it later, but make no mistake about it, the end is inevitable this year
  5. This team CAN be very good.... if.... Miranda, Lee, Julian, Larnach, Wallner produce while Buxton and Correa stay healthy. Oh and Zebby ;has a breakout year... LOT-O-IFs....
  6. I wish Royce well and love watching Peak Royce play (aka Royce F-ing Lewis!) But the Twins have enough information to NEVER sign him to a long-term contract. Small market teams can't take that kind of risk... the Yankees and Dodgers can have at it.
  7. If the plan is to platoon him then sure if his is clearly matching 2024 production.... but I would prefer your best hitter agnostic of pitching side as lead off. That may change throughout the season. Again...get your stars the most ABs possible
  8. How long until the Tonkin experiment is done (again)...asking for a friend's sanity
  9. Twins with classic overthinking on leadoff. Your leadoff should be your best hitter so that they are assured the maximum ABs for the game. Nothing is more important than having your best hitters get more ABs.
  10. "After France couldn’t find a job all offseason and 29 other teams declined to guarantee him a deal, the Twins see him as a near-everyday player." GUT. PUNCH.
  11. oh goody! He is clearly what any team competing for a WS would want to have big plans for.... sigh...
  12. Spring Training... time for the annual stories that so and so are in THE BEST SHAPE EVER stories!
  13. Yup...would have rather just let the kids play and see what we have
  14. I'm sure the Dodgers were in hot pursuit BUT.....
  15. I've been shocked for 2 years running that Rocco still has a job.... Thought experiment: Do you think Rocco will ever manage for another team again? Hard no for me... so why do the Twins cling to a negative WAR manager like he is a prize.
  16. I had Mar-got that Margot had led off so many times during last season. Not as bat s- crazy as continually running him out there to pinch hit.... but close...
