  1. Not to get political here, but as an advisor I can tell you there was a plan in place. It wasn't followed. Thats all, now back to your regular programming. ?
  2. Doug Mientkiewicz is available to manage.
  3. The reason you sign a bunch of these guys to fill out rosters because you never know who is gonna put it all together or go on a successful run. Hard to match mixing experience with success.
  4. The Twins have the worst record vs left-handed starters in the league.
  5. Pry Taylor Walls away from the Rays. Franco is the Ray's shortstop of the now and future which moved Walls back to AAA. Could possibly hold down the Twin's shortstop position for a few years. Switch hitter with a decent bat, decent speed, decent glove. can take a walk and get on base. A 3rd round pick in 2017 out of Florida St. U, Walls has moved up the minor league ladder each season holding down the shortstop position at each stop. Could be a nice player for the Twins.
  6. I really don't like that an injured + surgery + long rehab player can be plucked from a team via Rule 5 then stashed on the new team's 60-day and carried for the season and be retained.
  7. << "If I'm the Twins, I place Severino on the 40-man and hope I can re-sign Palacios." >> Yep.
  8. Lefty was one of my favorite pitchers to watch. What a slider. Looked like a fastball, had a little hump to it, then went from Minneapolis to Mankato on a rail. Good luck.
  9. Of course we all go to see the Twins win, but does it benefit the team for the future to put the best probable winning team out there just to win today? It's important to see who might be a contributor to a possible championship team next year and following.
  10. Or the opposite. Fans will go to see the new young players because wins at this point don't really mean much in the standings (is finishing ahead of Detroit and Kansas City meaningful?). Regardless of what the metrics say, Simmons is not providing game saving defense or adding much to the offense. Like Dman mentioned, maybe a Palacios audition could provide value.
  11. Is Miranda kind of like a young Albert Pujols with the combo of plate coverage and the ball jumping off the bat?
  12. It's always hard to know all the details behind transactions, but bringing up a veteran mid-season free agent can be a message to future possible signees that you can make it back to the majors with the Twins.
  13. Two jacks against jax. Thats the facts. But Griffin had 'em wiffin'. Proving he's no stiffin.
  14. 15th round out of Concordia? Heck yes. Would love to see him succeed in a Twins uniform. Go Bears.
  15. Most people are married to their phones now. Real life is just something that happens between likes.
  16. Burroughs definitely threw a meatball that Stephenson crushed. It will be interesting to see how the bullpen shapes up next year. I sure miss having reliable arms for late inning relief.
  17. Try a little pitcher Put him in your bullpen You can always let him go.
