  1. Yeah, flexor strain in the forearm of his throwing arm. May even be 1B-DH only for the rest of the year.
  2. Ya know, I don't want to agree but darn it Nick, it makes a lot of sense. The adjustments you make at the plate with a hip and knee barking at you can really mess with your swing, and sometimes those adjustments are hard to overcome. Maybe a IL respite is just the thing. We have the meat.
  3. It is a day off tomorrow, so 2 innings wouldn't have been a bad plan in my thinking.
  4. I'd go to a Twins game, but the commute is 2,778 miles. ?
  5. Kid can play. He's got the moxie. If he stays within himself and doesn't try to do too much he should be ok, especially on defense.
  6. Seth you writing fool, you. NIce job. Willie Joe Garry. I kind of thought he might be a washout due to very low batting average so far. He must have some nice tools for the Twins to stick with him? The scouts must have been on extended outreach to find a player from Pascagoula, Mississippi. ?
  7. They looked brutal in their previous series against Kansas City too.
  8. Yep. Men on base without a homerun to drive them in seems to be a mystery to the current day Twins. Rocco might be a good people person but I don't really like his lineup decisions, bullpen decisions or game management decisions. Its so early in the season but I'm already expecting the Titanic to be downed by an iceberg before it even leaves port.
  9. I don't agree. I think being in the bullpen is good for both him and the Twins right now. His future still might be as a starter. Many young starting pitchers get their feet wet in the majors pitching in relief.
  10. I love labels, in fact, my company makes them. Think beer and food labeling. ?
  11. With the arrival of the Sisco kid, there's no more waiting for Godoy.
  12. Strat-o-matic did a 2022 simulation and somehow the Twins made it to the World Series to face the Brewers, losing to the beer makers 4 games to 3. Now this is March and those must have been some Twins-friendly dice, and of course beating the Yankees in the playoffs ... yeah .... no. I can only imagine that Buxton avoided the injured list and he and Correa powered the look-alikes to a lot of runs scored. However they did it . . . i like it!
  13. From the National Library of Medicine on TOS and pitching performance: Conclusion: 74% of professional pitchers who undergo surgical intervention for TOS are able to return to play at the MLB level. With regards to performance, the majority of metrics were unchanged from prior to surgery, indicating return at a similar functional level. Pitching metrics demonstrated that pitcher ERA remained inferior postoperatively compared to baseline preoperative performance (3.66 vs 4.50, p = 0.03). Fastball velocity (p = 0.94) and strike percentage (p = 0.50) were equivalent to pre-injury performance. Me: "Similar" functional level, but still reduced as far as I read it. The ERA difference seems significantly worse. Reports say Chris Archer is a "smart pitcher" and if he can figure out how to be effective post TOS , then he can help the Twins some.
