  1. Depressing day for sure. So many talented MLB players removed for so many non-top prospects nobody has heard about. And people on this site are pretty well plugged in. It's just really hard to understand the motivation for most of these moves.
  2. Bless your heart, you must be new around here.
  3. That’s probably worst case scenario explanation if you think about it. A) It means they’re also thrifty, B) it means they meddle, which may be even worse.
  4. Ha, I saw this updated expecting to see ten new very passive aggressive entries!
  5. Holy cow, Zach LittelL AND Dietrich Ennes got traded? So in 2017, the Twins actually got TWO players for Jamie Garcia who would still be pitching at the MLB level eight years later? Congratulations?
  6. Zero chance. They still haven't finalized a Las Vegas deal, meanwhile Tampa and the White Sox are trying to get a new stadium. After that, you still have a dozen teams ahead of the Twins in pecking order to get new stadiums. The rest of the owners will not let the Pohlads take away one of their threat cities since relocating is the ultimate weapon for these guys.
  7. I mean, I doubt any of them work on commission, so their jobs all probably got easier.
  8. Yeah, we're going to hear that a lot of that the next couple years.
  9. Five years in pro ball and hasn't advanced past A ball and has a career 6.46 MiLB ERA. I really wish the Twins had some reporters who would ask the tough questions.
  10. Can someone do the math and find out how much payroll is coming off the books the rest of this season?
  11. For sure. This is still 2022 right?
  12. Honestly, I don't know why they bothered keeping Ryan at this point. Have to think they'll trade him, Ober and Lopez in the off season.
  13. If there's one bright spot about this depressing day, it's imagining the manager who loves his veteran players losing his mind 10x more than we are.
  14. Sooooooo, I'm starting to think the Pohlads aren't going anywhere? Because this has been a really, really bad job interview for the Twins front office otherwise.
  15. Red Sox are getting Dustin May. Does this mean Ryan's safe? Or he's going elsewhere?
  16. I'd consider that. Otherwise there's no reason to trade Ryan. Unless the whole plan here is to go scorched earth on the franchise because you know you're getting the boot very soon.
  17. They can go right ahead and beg their way into a DFA.
  18. I'm thinking Castro will be pretty pissed off if he isn't dealt at this point.
  19. According to Dan Hayes, they lost the entire clubhouse.
  20. Will he be between the ages of 20 and 24? Otherwise, if he's too far from the majors or older than that range I might end up quibbling about the definition of 'prospect'.
  21. I really could care less if they get rid of Correa's contract. Looking at next year's free agent class the only guys I'd want are Alex Bregman, Pete Alonso, Kyle Tucker or Kyle Scwarber. Even if the Twins offered top dollar, are any of them even going to consider going to a rebuilding team that is showing clear train-wreck tendencies?
  22. Great, who's Major League Players? Like the Twins are also sending Larnach? Or are the Twins getting back Houston's version of James Outman?
  23. He does seem to scale his performances up to the moment. Probably would have been worth every penny the Twins paid him if the organization didn't fart around prioritizing a sale and waste everyone's time the last two years.
  24. Wallner has shown significantly more offensive upside than Outman. I'm not taking him out of the lineup.
  25. I can tell you right now that Rocco Baldelli is going to love this deal. Another team's 28-year-old? He's going to play every day even if it comes at the expense of at bats for Wallner.
