    I'd take a 5 man rotation of Lopez, Ober, Ryan, SWR & Festa. Bring up a couple guys from 3A during the year to get a few spot starts and the starting can be good.

    If they buy the team and are successful, this should be a team that will challenge for titles consistently. I would expect them to be outspending the central division teams by a large margin. It may be too late this off season to pick up any major free agents. But then I also wouldn't expect them to trade any players just to save $10-20 dollars.

    Its not really up to current ownership. They've already proven they won't shell out the money.

    Definitely a wait and see situation. Hopefully they would be supportive but not trying to involve themselves with running day to day operations.

    I wouldn't trade pitching for hitting. We saw how fast the season went downhill after Ryan was injured and they only had Lopez and Ober as reliable starters. Imagine starting the season without one of the big three.

    The TV market still counts fans all over the country to watch the playoffs and Word Series. TV station pay contracts based on attracting those coast to coast markets. But, has as been seen this past year, 14 teams lost their TV packages because they weren't drawing enough customers to watch the advertising between innings. As fans continue to tune out the playoffs because their team doesn't have a chance and the off season goes by when the same 4 teams sign the best players, TV revenue will shrink further and further. Even billionaires will eventually understand that what is best for their pockets is more balance leagues.

    I would like to see other pitchers either on the team or in the minors force Lopez down from Ace to number 2 or 3. That to me would be ideal.

    I hope the players listed play well enough over the next few years for your projected lineup to be accurate. However, I think if a new owner is not found by next winter, than both Buxton and Correa will probably be gone before 2026 and certainly by 2028. If we don't find new team financing then we will be running on a Tampa Bay model. When a player gets close to free agency, then they automatically get traded. In other words we will be provided the best players to the 4 or 5 richest teams.

    I think Paddack will have to prove next spring that he is healthy before he can be moved.

    I like Ober and think he is great in the rotation, BUT, I can't see them signing any long term deals with anyone this winter. If a new owner shows up, they can make those decisions. If there is no new owner, Ober will be traded or leave in 3.

    If there was a big push to dump Correa, then you could assume new ownership was ready to sign the title but don't want him. If there was a response from Falvey of no, definitely not, then you could assume new ownership is ready and wants him. But the response of we'll listen when someone calls on anyone, but it would take a high ceiling to pry him loose, I assume nothing is happening on the team sale yet.

    I am not sure why anyone would push to make Jax a starter. If the team had 8 relievers as good as or better than Jax I could see it. That hardly is the position the Twins find themselves in. Why take last years best reliever out of the pen and risk blowing that many more innings late?

    Looks like the Mets won the latest round out of "The Battle for New York", although, I honestly don't care. The Twins were never in that hunt and probably won't be no matter who buys them. They won't be until baseball gets its finances in order. If my calculations are correct 24, other teams were never in that fight. I think there are enough haven'ts to win the small & medium market teams versus the super heavy weights fight. Probably there will be several super heavy weights ready to throw in the towel when the fight finally is booked.

    The guy had a hand injury last year and still won a batting title. His career OPS is. higher than Buxton. His career high for strikeouts is 50. He only had 200 hits while Castro led the Twins with 138, no one else on the Twins even had 100 hits. He hit 366 with runners in scoring position, with 39 rbi's in 112 at bats, with an 818 OPS. He only struck out twice. While both Buxton and Correa were decent with runners in scoring position, neither were as good as Arraez. I think the offensive problems that people have with Arraez stem from the people hitting around him. I think too players hit only for themselves and not for the team.

    Magdaleno might be worth picking. Try him out in the spring and see if he is worth making a trade for. Maybe we could find someone to teach him a change-up.

    I think paying Castro $6 mil will be a hard sell to ownership, consequently I believe Castro will be gone by the end of the spring. I do believe the Twins value utility all over the place, as you can see by all the players playing multiple positions. Maybe just not as well as we like.

    I'm thinking Kepler will probably be a late spring signing on a 1 year deal. I would be surprised if he got more than $7.5mil.

    Sounds like a waste of time and roster space. I much prefer Martin, Eeles and Holland get their shots in the outfield.

    If Jenkins is beating on the door by August, the Twins will have a tough decision to make. An outfield of Rodriguez, Jenkins and Buxton next September would be good to see. However, I expect Larnach and Wallner to be the starting corner outfielders next April. Maybe Wallner can play first base, maybe Larnach can dh. I expect Wallner to lead the team in homers next year and probably RBI's. I hope larnach and Lewis are both in the top 3 for the team. Then maybe in 2026 this will truly be a team with a dangerous lineup.

    I like the Twins starting pitching situation to begin the 2025 year. I think it'll be better by the end of the season and that's OK. I also believe that at least 2 of the starters at ST Paul will prove themselves to be ready for the majors and I expect Festa to be one. The Twins have enough developing depth to be able to cover reasonable injury concerns. Should the Twins keep Paddock? Most don't seem to think so and I think he would be a bigger help out of the bullpen. There are times when the Twins needed more 5th and 6th inning shutdown relief and they didn't have it. Having a couple more good arms in the pen could make their starters look that much better. Seems like too often they were hoping an out of gas starter could get out of an inning before bringing in a relief pitcher to start a new inning.

    I'm hoping when Emma makes it up, everyone is doing well. We don't have a team wide slump or 5 or 6 injuries among the position players. Let him hide in the lineup close to the bottom and get a couple hundred plate appearances in before someone tries to anoint him a savior.

    I heard the Celica will hold at least 13 clowns. I'm curious about how many extra bullpen arms they can fit into that space? What's it rated at, for bullpen to mound trips?

    If the Twins non-tender Castro, how likely is someone to sign him at $6.2 mil? I might sign him for 2/6 or 3/10 and they look for trade possibilities. I'd go the non-tender route otherwise. They have plenty of utility players available. Still another dozen teams are out hunting marketing money with TV cooling down. There will be players not getting what they want and agents too.

    I'd have Tonkin or someone like Tonkin to come in during innings 4-6. Maybe later during a good stretch he could get a couple outs in the 7th. He could get 80 innings for the team that would be not given to someone trying out. We've had enough of that. Games he pitches in do not seem to frequently explode out of control.
