  1. Being division rivals probably has a lot to do with it too. Familiarity tends to limit the impact overall record has in many cases.
  2. Sweet! I always wanted to be a rocket scientist. I was never that good at math. I chose estimating instead. Is this one of those "honorary" titles or is my diploma in the mail?
  3. Let's start summer off right...with a win over Cleveland!

  4. I've seen plenty of replays and game recaps of his PAs, but haven't seen many (if any) live as they happen.
  5. Nice write-up, Ted. Having not seen the game, that's a nice look at a pretty critical spot. The inability to throw would be base stealers out will always drive me nuts. But, seeing as that nobody runs anymore, that's not as important these days. May as well take advantage of pitch framing while you can.
  6. Of those listed, Sano is easily the most expendable. Problem being, he's also the one with the lowest value. Assuming they aren't sellers, it makes no sense at all to trade Correa. With Lewis out, there simply isn't another player to step into that role for a playoff caliber team.
  7. I haven't seen any AB live, but I think it was time to call him back up. He seemed to have found his stroke in St. Paul, so it's just a matter of him getting acclimated with big league pitching again. He does look better than he did earlier in the season. More confident, favoring the wrist less. He seems to finish his swing better now.
  8. The inconsistency with the bats is wearing on me. For the most part, the pitching is still doing their job. But the bats disappear about as often as they put it together.
  9. That series could have gone better.

  10. And the bats go right back to being ice cold. The pitching gave up 4 HRs, which is one fewer hit than the Twins bats mustered. Not a recipe for success.
  11. No, made from scratch! And with a nice Pinot Noir!
  12. Glad I had swedish meatballs for dinner. I figured chicken was too presumptuous for an early dinner.
  13. Depends on what your definition of "off" is.
  14. There's a prescription for that... ...and it's more cowbell!
  15. Thanks, I finally figured out what the soundtrack of my afternoon will be!
  16. I'm sure there are at least two whose first name is Jimmy, yes.
  17. Two different things. One is on a single game basis, the other is due to injury.
  18. I never thought I'd find time as interesting as I do right now!
  19. Likely to get him as many PAs as possible.
  20. I was too busy to get out this weekend, but I got a bonus round in during the week, so it evens out I guess.
  21. I like the idea of sandwiching Kirilloff between Urshela and Sanchez. Two veteran bats like those should protect him a bit.
