  1. Love live music...despise the crowds of LaLa.
  2. But Salem Sue can be seen from I-94! She's right there on top of a hill!
  3. So is making a G&T without the lime. Edit: partially ninja'd by Vanimal
  4. Perhaps, but I didn't have that sort of time.
  5. I think college is more to teach you how to learn and think than to actually prepare you for your chosen path. That's the case in my experience anyway. Before moving to our current house, my wife and I were going through all of the college stuff that we saved and had already moved twice. I was going through some of my coursework that directly relates to my current job. I contradicted most of what I was being taught on a daily basis today. However, all of it did teach me the basics and how to generally dissect information. Knowledge and education are truly never a bad thing.
  6. When you have water and the fires don't burn the weeds away right?
  7. A creative coach would use them as training aids.
  8. I like how it's similar to a Choose Your Own Adventure Book.
  9. I've considered it. Life has been far too hectic this year to have the time to actually do it thus far though.
  10. I don't mind mowing or yard work in general. I don't mind clearing the driveway either. It's brainless and sometimes that is exactly what I need. Weeding on the other hand drives me nuts. Round Up. That's my solution. Or my wife. She doesn't mind weeding.
  11. Sometimes the manual labor is a nice change of pace from my day to day life of thinking and working through the puzzles of my job that do nothing but tax my brain. Even though carpentry requires thinking, it's not nearly as bad as my job so it's just nice. The immediate results are an added bonus.
  12. I built houses while in college. I really liked it and I learned a lasting skill that I still use on occasion. I'm an office guy in construction these days, but I enjoy getting my hands dirty now and then.
  13. This. Plenty of good paying trade jobs out there that don't require college. There's nothing wrong with going to a trade school or taking an apprenticeship to learn an occupation.
  14. I doubt it. It's probably the margarita machine next to it.
  15. As a short guy, I empathize with the toddler. My workaround is to go get the steaks from the case. Using similar communication skills of a toddler, I can point to a steak, the butcher will grab it and wrap it up for me and then hand it to me. Work smarter, not hard my young friend.
  16. If only the bullpens ERA's were as low as Delta House's GPAs.
  17. Good contact hitters typically hit into more DPs. Look at Miggy Cabrera's DP numbers. They put the ball in play more, thus hit into more DPs.
  18. Which they didn't do anyway. In a 1-0 game, you've got to try to muster a baserunner and the pitcher isn't likely to do that. PH for Berrios was absolutely the right move.
  19. That's probably the frustration talking. When things go sideways, things tend to really go sideways and everything looks worse than it really is. That's conversely true when things are going good.
  20. It doesn't count if they're frozen 365 days a year.
  21. I think he means that the bear knocked RB's coffee cup out of his hand and it spilled on his lap.
