  1. I see that the circus made it's way to Fenway.
  2. This is impossible to read. Anyone have their enigma machine handy?
  3. As I understand it, your in your fourties! Man, if I have to remind you of your age so soon after you told us then it's a bigger problem than I thought!
  4. Ish is such an icky word. Never use it.
  5. Should be wourth the wait considering how quickly things spun out of control.
  6. Your mistaken. I just had my passpourt renewed.
  7. And really, she should expect this sort of zaniness from us yahoos anyway. She'd probably be disappointed otherwise. We wouldn't want that, would we?
  8. Chief and his BBQ sauce covered itchy finger are gonna ban me yet. The goal would be to get ChiTown's head to explode first though.
  9. I'm heading nourth while blaring Pourl Jam and proudly spourting my national colours.
  10. Ewe's don't care about u's either.
  11. The itchy one. Were you not paying attention?!
  12. With the Eddie Vedder imagine, I was looking for some Even Flow references. The ups and downs of this club between home and away series is wearing me out.
  13. If that were the case, wouldn't you simply put the guys you need on a plane and then announce the corresponding moves before activating them? Your take makes about as much sense as any at this point though.
  14. Timing is everything when driving across Kansas, Nebraska and the eastern half of the Dakotas. It can actually be pretty scenic if you hit it when the fields are lush and green and/or the prairie flowers are blooming. Other than that, all bets are off.
  15. If the Twins aren't careful, they could find themselves in 3rd place of the division by weekends end. The Royals have been playing some good ball since their awful April. They're closing quickly.
  16. With the way this season has unfolded, I think his loss has had a larger impact than many figured it would, myself included. I'm not sure what to expect from him next year, but if he can regain the form he had before they moved him to the bullpen it'll be just like acquiring a pretty good starter. That would be a huge boost to the rotation for sure.
  17. I don't disagree. I don't think any new call up can realistically be relied upon. You can hope obviously, but young players will be young players. I'm not "rushing" him to be a key cog this year, I'm "rushing" him in hopes that he can be a meaningful contributor next year. The key for me would be what they give up to get a Pavano-esque pitcher. I hated the Capps and Jepsen deals because they weren't clear upgrades to anything currently on the roster and even at the time I didn't really consider them cheap. That's a lower bar at this point I think, but it's worth noting.
  18. I think Kintlzer was up before Berrios was even in the dugout. I'm with drjim, I would have been fine either way but Kintzler hasn't been used a lot recently and if you get him up you should use him at that point.
  19. If this is the approach, wouldn't Erv's value by higher at the deadline rather than the offseason? I would imagine that if Gonsalves keeps up what he's doing, he's coming up in September for at least a cup of coffee regardless. I don't it would be rushing him in that scenario, it would be prudent on the Twins part. Give him a taste like Berrios got. I have little doubt that actually helped him immensely this past offseason and we're seeing the rewards of that this season. That sort of turnaround isn't what I expect from Gonsalves, but it is something to point towards.
  20. This is what I'm thinking as well. He's had enough big league experience that he should know better at this point. The continued mental lapses fall on him more than the coaching staff. I'd like to see Granite called up and start every day in LF and hitting lead off. Send Rosario down as a statement, maybe he'll learn a lesson.
