  1. My smoke detector is really touchie so I keep the broom handy to wave at it
  2. Face it … getting past Houston always was going to be tough … but … it’s not over til it’s over … I got nothing else
  3. I remember a game once, Twins v White Sox … Twins scored 9 in the 1st inning, Sox came back, went ahead. I think the Twins ended up winning by a ridiculous score, like 18-17 … but just goes to show, there’s a lot of game left beyond the 1st inning. We need to get some runs across, though
  4. You know, I’ve kind of gotten used to them. Still don’t like them, but don’t hate them
  5. And wasn’t 91 kind of like that, too? of course, in a 7 game series, you can schedule that better than in a 5-game series
  6. The overly negative need to dial it back, and those commenting on the overly negative need to stop. Please.
  7. Who came from a place called Nantucket ...
  8. LG appliances stand for Life is Good. I just inserted the only F word I know. :)
  9. I’m guessing ‘Life is ****ing Good!’
  10. You had to get a ticket. They were free but still had to get one.
  11. I hope they won’t need all those pitchers to pitch one game. But why did you think Ober was in anyone’s doghouse? He’s been handled perfectly this year and is ready to go for the playoffs.
  12. Yeah, no kidding. The Wakefields asked for privacy ... Schilling is a horrible human, imo
  13. Speculation is fun ... until there's no more to speculate about 🙂
  14. Well, maybe that’s where the confusion began. But, worth every Penny. Yes, partly a statement of hyperbole due to a joy hangover. However, you said you’d do it again. Wouldn’t that mean then it was worth it, and maybe worth every Penny? And maybe we are playing the semantics game. To me, it was worth every Penny because we wouldn’t be here today without him. For me it’s as simple as that.
  15. I disagreed with you … that’s what the thumbs down means … disagree. I think you are trying too hard to break things into pieces where I’m looking at the whole package. You didn’t like his bat this year, so he’s not worth it, yet. I don’t think we’d be here without him. The unwavering leadership he has provided, the mentorship to the kids, his play on the field. Yes, his offense was off, but the fact he provided those more needed other facets, we are here. Because we are here, it’s worth it, imo, because I firmly believe we wouldn’t be without him. When was the last time we had this component? A very long time. He has been the catalyst, he has been what we have needed. Yes, we are the sum of all parts. But, again, without this part, we’d be done already, missing the playoffs altogether. It’s worth to be here. And, for the record, if you are going to compare Correa to a hotel chain, I think the Four Season might be more apt. Imo, of course.
