  1. A lot of Floridians are transplants, so they cheer on their 'first' team. Not to mention the Yankees have lots of inroads in that area due to doing their ST in Tampa.
  2. No ... that's not how that play went. Correa was covering 2nd base. He was pulled way over because Julien was pulled way over. It was actually very heads up of him to get over there
  3. Yep. Correa had to make a play that many couldn't and it had to be spot on. It was. He was beat by a great play not over-aggressiveness. Bichette even commented on that in a post-game interview. Said he'd do it again.
  4. When I encounter issues, I usually send Brock a message on FB.
  5. Lol ... @Brock Beauchamp? Are you on that? Welcome to TD ... game threads are a great place to jump in on ... enjoy!
  6. That's always been our model for game threads. But ... well ... you know. That said, I've said from the beginning that I think this team had a lot of possibility to it. I was hopeful, but tempered, because, well, you know. But they had so much potential. I'll be sad if it's not realized further, but yes, we made it past this one big, monkey hurdle, we can certainly make it past the next and the next and the next ...
  7. Yep ... we've played the long game all season. Now it's win every game and win the first one first.
  8. I'd say mostly his offense was down. But wow, some of the plays he's made throughout the season, I don't think he's been that down. You realize what a good SS does for your defense and yesterday proved it.
  9. Will Ash, Bash and Crash be going to today's game, too?
  10. It's not a guarantee, though, that he will pitch to them, at least not Game 1 if we get there. Could be Maeda or Ober.
  11. Welcome to TD ... you chose a fine day to jump in! 🙂
  12. I wouldn't put it that way, exactly ... he's played the long game all through the season and it got us here. Resting players, putting players on the IL ... to everyone's frustration and complaints. But I'd bet that we have one of the healthier rosters, especially pitchers. It was no question that Lopez was starting game 1 and Gray game 2. That's been set since we clinched, and maybe before. We've known that and Rocco has stated that. Beyond those two, well, we could see some variance, and we have the depth to allow for that. Rocco and the FO got our pitchers to line up to go this way, so I don't get the 'Twins method' comment on this. It was never a consideration. All season they played the long game, now they are playing to win every game they can, and that shows with the roster they went with and the order the starters are scheduled.
  13. What kind of postgame coverage is this? I want a Twins wrap, not a TB/Rangers wrap
  14. I’m glad the game started in the afternoon … now I have time to get to the DQ for a WINNAH blizzard!
  15. Sure, jump to the paranoid conspiracy theory ... and you could use yours to correct it, too ...
  16. Did you quote the wrong post? My, you got started early today! 😉
  17. That’s why I always have gameday running along with the video … so I know when to watch and when to close my eyes 🙂
  18. Interesting that you know not only what show this is from, but the exact episode? Hmmm … 🤔
  19. I think most people are acknowledging Buxton’s injury history. Most would like a miraculous return but know it’s not happening and Buxton shouldn’t have a roster spot. But the poster was insinuating something nefarious with Buxton’s character if you read back a few posts on the exchange. Buxton has loads of talent but a body that won’t allow it. It’s sad and unfortunate. It’s no one’s fault, as was implied, it’s just how he’s made
  20. It can’t be that expensive. According to one poster tickets can be found for $6
  21. Yes … desktop, iPad, and phone. Still happening
