  1. Yeah, the Post. I don’t see him in the same category as Donaldson, so let’s not put him there. He hasn’t the same history. I did read a few things, though, that NY was hard on him mentally, both internally and externally, so perhaps that’s where the perceived prickliness came out with the press but I only heard supportive comments of him from teammates. He just doesn’t have the history Donaldson does, so, as I said, let’s not go there. That said, it’s going to come down to a choice between Gallo or Luplow. I think Stevenson stays while MAT is out. One of Gallo or Luplow should go and I wonder if Luplow adds more value, even if just a hair.
  2. What does that have to do with them being able to execute? Unless you are trying to say the sign Rocco is giving players is to strike out, which I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what you think. Give it a rest.
  3. I hope not!
  4. Comment still stands. Because in his ‘being sarcastic’ edit, he manages to say something about the strikeouts. Yeah, because Rocco is the one taking the at bats. Seriously, this poster thinks every last thing in a game is Rocco’s fault. There are things you could point to, but players execution or lack thereof is on the players.
  5. Right, because Rocco is the one taking all the at bats 🤔🙄
  6. Anyone else want to head out for Blizzards?
  7. Well, then there’s that. Twins need to win the division now, not tie it.
  8. I guess the MLB network decided to go with its filler programming instead of going back to the game
  9. You two stop it. You are starting to make things personal. Just agree to disagree and walk away.
  10. Apparently @nicksaviking is Tad. His stage name at the strip club.
  11. When is this game going to get restarted?
  12. I can concur that, with inside knowledge of the situation
  13. No, but at least he limited any damage to one run … hopefully he comes out next inning sharper
  14. Yeah, although, has he played 1B ever in the majors? Hope he’s been given some practice there. Edit: answer just posted as I posted
  15. Would love it if the Twins gave Bibee the Giolito treatment! Go Twins!
  16. I don’t object to the strategy and using these rules to their benefit that don’t benefit the opponents in the same way. I wouldn’t call it brilliant, though. Yes, playing the long game is what he is doing. It’s what every team does. I just object to this being within the rules of baseball because it ceases to be a serious game. It’s not what any fan pays to see. Of course, it could then be argued that it ceased to be a serious game after Giolito gave it up. But, that happens. Not sure what the solution is other than to create a system of levels. Down by 20 in the 6th, okay, down by 15 in the 7th okay, down by 10 in the 8th okay … or something like that
  17. I get what Francona was doing, and that it was within the rules. Good for him. But at that point it becomes an unwatchable game for me. At that point that game is over because the manager has acknowledged they weren’t going to win and they weren’t even going to try. I get it, he was saving his BP for the next game. Then pack it up and go home. It becomes a non-professional game out there at that point. Either way the fans don’t get what they paid for. The thing is, because they were losing, they get to save their pitching, but the opponents do not, according to the rules. That doesn’t seem fair, If they want out of the game in the 6th inning, pack it in and go home.
  18. Eh, we made up for by pitching Castro. The biggest embarrassment to the game, though, was the Guardians having a position player pitch in the 6th. At that point, save everyone’s arms and just call it a night and forfiet
  19. Wow, and the negative nellies persist despite the score.
  20. Yeah, Giolito was never my target, so Cleveland can have him, but one or two of the RPs were
