  1. Duffey has moved up to 3-B IMHO, maybe 3A until he throws hangs his next curveball
  2. I am still holding out hope that there's a plan, to do something different than the same approach that has given up a grand slam or 3 run homers every game close and late for 3 games in a row
  3. Cleveland to me added insult to injury by showing that no only have they developed Clevinger and Bieber in the last couple years that they can even call up this guy Civale yesterday for his 2nd big league start and he could be next. He had good command and kept the Twins bats off balance and made them chase pitches near the zone.
  4. More losses without Buxton. He's the straw. I agree with jokin- these starting pitchers not named Berrios should be pulled after twice through the lineup. I'm not an opener advocate but let's try something different.
  5. The Royals don't seem to know they're supposed to roll over for us like they do for Cleveland.
  6. I loved how the Dbacks got that Marlin kid who shut us down last night. It might have been a John Ryan Murphy move but I thought he'd be a good get. But i didn't think the Marlins wouldn't be trading away a promising young starter. I guess it wouldn't have hurt to ask we probably could have got him for Gordon based on the return.
  7. I always enjoy the hope of 'last second deals that were made but haven't been reported'. Its a nice 15 minutes.
  8. It depends on what their goal is. Maybe they'll be happy just making the playoffs. Thad and Derek weren't here for the Gardy years.
  9. Replaces what parker was earlier in the year. A 2 or 3 run lead bullpen option.
  10. I'd rather have competent playoff starters than prospects. If it doesn't work for this and next year you can trade off some younger developed vets mid 2020 for the next rebuild.
  11. Giants are closing in on wildcard. Maybe they trade no one.
  12. Totally agree with the sentiment of not wanting Gibby anywhere near a playoff game. Hopefully he's just out of his routine and he can regain some normalcy as a solid #4.
  13. I love the Schoop observation - he's outstanding at turning double plays. Along the same line - Marwin's arm has come up big in the outfield and at third. Although it caught up with the team as everyone has been hurt lately - starting the season relatively injury free for 2+ months was a big surprise to me and helped the team gel and get off to a big lead on Cleveland
  14. As long as we aren't counting on him to be regular high leverage. Maybe he'll earn those spots and move parker down a notch. If he doesn't have it, fine, a good flier to take before giving up any prospects in a trade.
  15. I think Cleveland makes an effort to improve and win every year they still have Lindor.
  16. I think he's been fed so many sliders that a belt high fastball surprises him and he can't catch up with it.
  17. I don't think the pitching staff is in decline just being occasionally exposed when a game isn't 8-0 after 3 innings.
  18. What is the current thought process on Romero - that he needs to gain confidence and dominate AAA? Is there benefit at some point to bringing him back up to work with Wes Johnson?
  19. And no extra inning games this year to get through. There were 21 extra innings by this time last year.
