  1. Biggio with the truck stick. Glad Jax was able to hold onto that.
  2. It doesn't seem like they're making that hard of contact off of Gray though.
  3. Until he shows he can actually hit this season it doesn't really matter. MAT is just as good at defense as Buxton is at 50% or whatever he will be this year. The Twins can't afford to play both Buxton and Gallo at the same time if they're both striking out 40+% of the time.
  4. If it bangs off the wall it's either 1st and 2nd with zero outs or 2nd and 3rd with zero outs. Either of those is a much better outcome than not tagging up on a long fly ball where the left fielder spun around and hit the wall after the catch.
  5. Lewis needed to tag up on that long fly ball. If it's a home run, it doesn't matter where he's at. If the left fielder doesn't make the catch he's easily at 2nd and potentially 3rd. With the left fielder catching the ball he should be at 2nd. That would have kept the team out of the double platy.

  7. Going through the 2022 draft and the only player, at this moment, I would take over Brooks Lee is Jackson Holiday for obvious reasons.
  8. I don't see any way the Twins would trade Kiriloff for 1 year of Bellinger. The Twins don't need another lefty hitting OF/1B. They need a right handed hitting OF.
  9. These weren't for defensive replacements though. They were replaced in like the 4th inning and Kiriloff is a good defensive 1st basemen.
  10. So, Julien and Kiriloff are replaced by Kepler is left in the game?
  11. Fun Exercise.. Here's my list: P Johan Santana $3 C Joe Mauer $5 1B Harmon Killebrew $5 2B Brian Dozier $2 3B Steve Braun $2 SS Christian Guzman $1 LF Gary Ward $1 CF Kirby Puckett $5 RF Tony Oliva $5 DH Jim Thome $3 Closer Ron Davis $1
  12. This makes my stomach churn. If the Twins don't draft one of the top five it's going to be so disappointing.
  13. It's not hindsight to see Maeda didn't have it today. Didn't pitch well in the 1st but got lucky, pitched OK in the 2nd and got unlucky with poor fielding, pitched fine in the 3rd and then gave up three straight hits to start the 4th. He should have been removed at that point. There are plenty of ways to stall, so a pitcher can warm up. They could have taken him out with his back "acting" up.
  14. Why did Rocco leave Maeda in the game as long as he did? Clearly he didn't have it today and should have been pulled after the first few batters reached in the 4th.
  15. Great post! Just a heads up, you're missing the link to AJ's homerun. It's currently the link to Dozier's homerun.
  16. I'm 100% for anything Olbermann is against. The guy's a clown.
  17. If Polanco stays with the Twins through the end of his contract that just means something serious happened with Correa or the three prospects that would take over his spot (Lewis, Lee or Martin). Assuming Correa stays healthy, Lee and Lewis should be forcing the Twins hand by the end of this season to take over 3rd or 2nd base and potentially both.
