  1. Exciting news for sure. After a short adjustment to High A, he's played very well the past three weeks. If he's ready, hopefully he starts next season at AA and dominates. I'm assuming the leg injury at the beginning of the season was still slowing him down when he initially came back. Now that he's healthy, he's showing what his potential truly is.
  2. Nice to see Walker Jenkins putting together a nice stretch of games and hopefully he can continue for the remainder of the season. End the year on a high note and start next year at AA.
  3. Julien is so bad at defense. He has absolutely zero situational awareness and a ****ing terrible arm. That was as soft and easy of an infield in play at home as you can get. CHARGE the ****ing ball. Baseball 101 that is taught in Little League.
  4. Any news on Lee? Was he pulled for injury last night?
  5. I should have left the question open to everyone, so thanks for the response! It'll be interesting to see how he finishes the season and how he does at the beginning of next season. He has completely skipped AA and done well. Assuming he doesn't completely slump he'll likely start next season at AAA I'd imagine, so he'd be available for a call up once he's added to the 40 man.
  6. @Seth Stohs - Where would you rank Payton Eeles as a Twins prospect? He's moved up from A to AAA and consistently hit well. Does he have a defensive position?
  7. The problem is, and everyone knew it would happen except Rocco apparently, that San Diego had the full bench available to them. Clearly, they were going to pinch hit a righting in that situation if Okert or Thielbar were brought in. Who would you rather have hit leadoff in the 8th? Wade with his .243 avg and .581 OPS against righties or Solano who's hitting .318 with a .877 OPS against lefties? And, when you look at Profar's numbers. He hit's .331 avg with a .974 OPS against lefties and .273 avg with a .815 OPS against righties? So, why would you ever bring in a lefty to face those players? I thought Rocco was a stats guy?
  8. To me next season is really the season the Twins "Go for it". The rotation next season should be: Lopez, Ryan, Ober, SWR, Paddock with Festa, Mathews and Morris at AAA. The lineup should be: C Jeffers & Vazquez 1 Miranda & Julien or Kiriloff 2 Lee 3 Lewis SS Correa LF Castro / Larnach CF Buxton RF Wallner DH Castro / Larnach Bench: Vazquez, Martin, Julien, Kiriloff / FA outfielder Keaschall and Rodriguez at AAA.
  9. You've got to think Morris will start next season at AAA, which could have a very strong rotation. Depending on where Festa starts next year, AAA could have Festa, Mathews and Morris as their top three starters.

  11. This chart doesn't make sense. At the top is says player payroll and cash flow. At the bottom is stats EoY salary and profit. Cash flow and profit are two different things. Again, as many people have pointed out paper losses don't equal actual losses. In addition, if you throw out 2020, which is from covid and a complete outlier, the team has made $2 million since 2019. What's their total profit since the taxpayer funded Target Field opened?
  12. How do you know it's not greed? They've never been very transparent as owners, and it was hinted that Joe Pohlad was supposed to be much more active in running the team. Where has he been since the end of last season? I can't say I've seen any comments from him regarding the offseason or how the season has gone.
  13. I just don't believe the Twins are actually losing money, so it's tough to change my mind. As a few people have pointed out paper loses are one thing but that's not the true cash flow of a company. Additionally, what falls under the Twins company? Do the owners have additional revenue from the stadium or other ventures related to the Twins that's not included under the Twins company? Lastly, the Twins were purchased for $44 million and are now considered to be worth $1.46 Billion. Have the owners used the Twins asset value as collateral for other business ventures that have made them money that aren't included under the Twins company?
  14. The MLB has stated certain teams negatively affected by their TV deals can receive anywhere from $0 to $15 million if they spend it on team upgrades and I believe the Twins are one of those teams. It seems like the Pohlad's don't even have to spend their own money to fund additions this trade deadline. So, if the front office doesn't make a trade I will be very confused.
