You have to wonder if the season would be different if Keaschall hadn't broken his forearm. The kid just brings energy to the team that they've been lacking.
According to Dan Hayes, Jax requested the trade after seeing all of the other trades that were made.

I’m not sure how credible this news source is but it sounds like a sale in progressing and we could find out more in August. If true it would be a boost to the fans.
It would also make sense that they sold so much off at the deadline if the sale is progressing.
Man I'm hoping for the complete opposite. I want them to shut Lopez down for the season and lose as many games as possible. Get the highest draft pick they can.
Here’s a way-too-early mock draft for 2026
If anyone is interested in what next season's MLB draft looks like. Some very good looking position players at the top of the draft.
Anyone know if the 2026 MLB draft is supposed to be a strong one or not? Twins currently are in the 9th draft slot, and will likely finish lower after all of these trades.
I'm assuming they will get through the trade deadline before moving some players around, but Gonzalez should be in AAA now, and a case could be made for both Jenkins and Culpepper to be promoted to AAA as well.
I have little belief in Rodriguez. Maybe he's stops getting injured three times a year, but I doubt it. I think Jenkins will be an all-star in time but is likely a corner outfielder. I'd rather have Gonzalez as a part time outfielder and more of a full time DH based on his lack or athleticism and overall poor defensive ability.
I think Crawford has the potential to be an all-star center fielder and greatly improves the athleticism of the team. Add in Jenkins and Keaschall and the Twins would have the potential to be a very athletic team.
"teams look at what the Twins are asking for to acquire Duran or Jax -- at least two top-100-caliber prospects -- and aren't inclined to spend a whole lot of time workshopping deals for a top-10 starter this season with two more years of club control"
Directly from the original article.... Asking price is for either not both. Teams looking to acquire either Duran OR Jax are being asked for two top 100-caliber prospects.
I would want De Paula or Quintero from the Dodgers.
Jefferson Rojas from the Cubs would interesting as a 20-year-old recently promoted to AA.
I'd want Justin Crawford from the Phillies.
Any two of the top four from the Mets would work. Jett Williams and Nolan McLean would be great.
I wouldn't want anything from the Yankees prospect pool as I feel like they tend to be overrated.
Detroit would need to way overpay for that to make sense since it's in the division. Something like 3 top 100 prospects and I doubt they would do that.
