    I'm not too worried about Dyson. He's got dominate stuff and should rebound. I'm enjoying the enthusiasm of Romo as well. That attitude will help us in October.

    Nice comparison. I think we still have a bull pen problem to deal with but until that's fixed I'm gonna take your approach. I like baseball. Don't really like the roller coaster but will keep taking my high blood pressure meds...

    A few take aways after watching the highlight reels and Rocco's interview: 1. This lineup is so crazy good. I'm literally speechless on how dangerous they really are. They all look so confidant and sure of themselves. The "mojo" they are displaying on a daily basis is impressive. I think these guys are seriously playing a game that says, if I don't hit, no bother, my brother, the guy behind me will hit it. Good luck pitching around somebody. If I was a pitcher facing our full lineup I'd be like...Fudge! Hopefully I get out of here with 5 runs or less. We've managed to decimate most of the Cy Young guys this year anyways. 2. Rocco looks like he might have hit his stride too. He looks as relaxed as an Exlax pill. When we are at full strength I will take this lineup over any Astro or Yankee team all day long. 3. Yes, I know our bullpen can use some support and maybe our starting pitching too but if nothing changed, I'll take the odds this team goes the distance in October...As Jack Morris famously said, "In the immortal words of Marvin Gaye, Let's get it on".     Stu - in light of our Twins overwhelming performance this year, you need to write at least 2 or 3 blogs a week. I love these. It's inspiring! By the way, the only thing Tanner is missing is a few pots of black coffee brewing in the background to go with the cigs.

    I raise my hand. I think the Twins can make it a 100 win season almost every year. I'm so deep down this rabbit hole I'm looking for an in-patient treatment program. By the way, Betty Ford quit taking Twins fans back in 2015.

    That last Yankee game in the pouring rain wasn't a real good indicator either. I think they can pound the Yankees when the time comes. They should have won that one against the Phillies too. It was a strange game all the way around.

    Offensively this is the best Twins team I've ever seen. That doesn't necessarly correlate to a WS championship but it sure as hell makes them more fun to watch. I'm not an actuary but I'd also assume their chances of going deep into the playoffs this year are a lot better than 25+ teams in the league now.     Quick update from the BWCA...we just had a group of paddlers go by our camp. They asked if we had any beer to spare. I said, “not tonight, just bourbon”. They said thanks but “we’ll keep moving along”. Just as they passed by, the guy in the last canoe turned and hollered, “do you know how the Twins did today”? I yelled back, “hell yes!...They won again”! Quit asking stupid questions”! Figures....beer drinkers versus bourbon drinkers. They let anyone into this place...Gotta go back to tending the fire now.     It’s our last night in the BWCA woods. Listening to the game again in the boat today. Caught a bunch of fish...frying up some fresh walleye tonight for dinner. Will pour some more bourbon, thank the good Lord for our bounty and the WELY “end of the road” radio station. I’m half tempted to stay up here until the winning streak ends.     I always knew this team was going to be great this year. I bet $1500 on the Twins to win ALCS back in December. Begged and pleaded for Perez signing and Cruz. Screamed for an extension for Kepler and Polanco...drafted Buxton, Odorizzi and Garver for fantasy league. Foresaw Rocco playing the shift in ways only actuaries could understand. Sorry...got lost in the camp fire. I might need to slow down on the bourbon...Loons won’t stop screaming. Camp finally dried out. Twins won too. Ecstasy!

    I’m currently holed up in a camp site in the Boundary Waters 10 miles from Canada holding my phone towards the NE to get a good signal. I listened to the game today on an old radio in my boat. The Twins would hit a homer and I’d catch a walleye. The Twins would hit another and my son wound catch a walleye...what an amazing team! Wait til Cruz and Garver come back! I’ll be over my walleye limit. I have tears in my eyes... Seriously friends, this is the best offensive Twins team I’ve ever seen and I’ve been a fan for 35 years. The pitching ain’t bad either... Gotta go now, fire needs another log. 40 degrees tonight.

    The Twins should have won Friday night...Bases loaded two times and nothing, errors, etc. Not a good showing and we beat ourselves. Today's game illustrates how we can play with anyone, especially after beating up on Houston. This team is for real. They will contend barring the usual pitfalls: Injuries, pitching, blah, blah, blah... This lineup is scary good. If Sano produces you'll wish you'd bought the Vegas Sport Book for Twins as ALCS Champs and WS Champs.

    This team has been fun to watch!! They've got the right chemistry going. Wins like these build up a ton of confidence for the players. I think we are in for a fun season... Go Twins!

    Barring injury this team only gets better as the season progresses. We should actually have two more wins than we do solely based on poor managing (which is expected early on in Rocco's tenure). Get ready for a run people. After what we've been through the last 8 years or so, this is going to be fun.
