  1. I honestly cannot believe Outman is still here...This team has a spark, but holy s@!^!!! Need more defense regardless.
  2. Totally agree! The problem with Outman is his name and position. Horrible baseball name for a hitter/fielder. If he were a pitcher, yes, great name!
  3. Thanks for the uplifting message, I guess. I’m sure Opening Day will be a blast… or at least it would’ve been if they’d bothered to play the actual youngsters. I still can’t wrap my head around how this roster was put together — it feels like they tried to make it confusing on purpose. Honestly, my entertainment this season might just be watching how fast this whole thing gets scrapped in favor of the guys over in St. Paul. At this point, that’s the real show. Maybe we should start an over/under pool for Outman, Larnach, and the rest. Thirty games? Twenty? I’m tempted to take the under just for the comedy value.
  4. This kid is ready! Let's roll! There is nothing to lose at this point. I like his grit.
  5. Totally agree—very anemic lineups. I'd rather see some of those "yutes" move up and bring some energy to the club.
  6. Sometimes teams playing with nothing to lose actually do well. Low expectations and nothing to lose can create a loose clubhouse atmosphere. Could be interesting to watch. Maybe.....
  7. Honestly, all I see at this point is incompetence from top to bottom. Nothing I said implied Falvey was some genius or that I even liked the guy — I never did. Gleeman’s piece made it clear that Tom and Falvey had “numerous discussions” and “different strategies,” but what those strategies were, we’ll probably never know because transparency clearly isn’t a priority for this organization. And truthfully, I’m past caring about who’s in charge or how this team is run. I’ve been more than a casual fan for 45+ years. I held season tickets for years. And no — Tom didn’t call me, which is a shame, because I had a few things he needed to hear. I’ll come back when this operation is run by adults. Until then, enjoy the mess!
  8. I honestly believe Falvey had had enough. He also needs to look after his career and reputation. He knows 2026 is going to be a ridiculous challenge. Why stick around when your ownership doesn't support what you know you will need to succeed? Tom Pohlad and the new minority owners need to bring in their own management team. Whether in the right or wrong direction, ownership and management need to align their goals. As Gleeman's article stated, Falvey and Pohlad didn't share the same vision to move this team forward. I read Gleeman's take in The Athletic yesterday and agree that another GM spot is in Falvey's future, probably next year.
  9. I love the kid's enthusiasm to get better, but giraffe legs won't work at SS. Maybe third? Looks awkward to me, but what do I know? We are the Pittsburgh Pirates of the American League Central now. Throw everything against the wall and see what sticks....Let's get rolling!
  10. I don't think we have any scouting department left at the moment.
  11. I’ve been saying this for years now: the Twins’ problems haven’t just been on the field—they’ve been rooted in strategy and culture inside the front office and in the way Rocco Baldelli managed the team. Take Royce Lewis, for example. When he first came up, he was electric. He thrived under pressure, embraced the big moments, and looked every bit the gamer this franchise had been waiting for. Then the injuries hit, but even when he returned, something was different. That fearless spark seemed dimmed. Why? My gut tells me it wasn’t just the injuries. Watching him this year, it felt like he was wrestling with more than his health. Either he wasn’t buying into the team’s philosophy, or the coaches tinkered with him so much that they muted his instincts. That’s the kind of second-guessing that can get inside a player’s head—and it looked like it did. And I don’t think Lewis was alone. You could sense frustration across the roster, whether with the coaching staff, the front office, or both. That’s the real shame here. This team had a solid core not long ago—a foundation that should’ve been built on. Instead, somewhere along the line, it began to erode. What we’ve seen recently feels less like bad luck and more like rot from within.
  12. I’m glad the decision on Rocco was finally made today. As someone who’s followed baseball for nearly 40 years, he always struck me as more of a “let’s all get along” type than a true leader. I never saw the confidence, fire, or strategic edge you want in a manager. I was at the ’87 and ’91 World Series runs and saw Tom Kelly in action. He wasn’t perfect, but he demanded accountability. He didn’t tolerate sloppy defense, mental mistakes, or half-hearted play. That’s what a real manager does — sets the standard and enforces it. The past 6+ years under Rocco, I’ve rarely seen pride, urgency, or chemistry from this team. A good leader builds a culture where players push themselves and each other. I never saw that spark. Look at the greats across sports: Casey Stengel, Joe Torre, Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Vince Lombardi, Chuck Noll, Jimmy Johnson, Scotty Bowman, Gregg Popovich, Sparky Anderson, Tony La Russa. Different sports, same truth, the best managers and coaches demand excellence and get the most out of their players. And the excuse that today’s managers don’t have time for fundamentals? Nonsense. Tom Kelly worked drills in his Zubaz right alongside his players. Ron Washington still does legendary first base drills himself. That’s leadership. That’s teaching. I’m ready for new energy in the Twins dugout. Could not be happier to turn the page.
  13. I read today that the Twins and Rocco never confirmed that extension....I don't think one was officially signed.
  14. Interesting article, especially about the technology pitchers are using today to help them compete. (Side Note) As a fan, you know your team is in full rebuild mode when you read articles about a fledgling 30-something relief pitcher trying to stay in MLB, and it inspires hope.
  15. Having Mauer involved does not necessarily mean success. Ask the Marlins how Jeter did while involved with that franchise.
  16. The chemistry with this new/revised squad looks good. Team chemistry can be seen outside the locker room. Sounds crazy but things just look different, "in a good way!"
  17. I like to wake up every morning and strive to be mediocre....No, thank you! Making the playoffs may be your goal, but I wanna win it all. Sorry. Just different expectations. No participation trophies, please.
  18. I'm ok with this. I never thought we were getting our money's worth. Great guy and wish him well!
  19. Heading to the game tonight to watch Ryan throw a gem.
  20. This visual effectively illustrates the success of our pitchers. Look at the runs our opponents scored during this streak.
