Amen to that. We were able to gracefully part ways with Gardy. Now let's continue to cut ties with the past while at the same time still respecting and honoring past Twins legends.

Hey, Trump won the election so why not Porcello for Cy Young. Kate Upton - well played

You're either onto something or on something.
  4. theBOMisthebomb
Count me on the JRM/Garver bandwagon if our choices are this bottom tier.

Byung Ho Park would be a wonderful bounce back candidate. If he can get healthy and post some good numbers it could really help. Now, if that happens what to do with Joe Mauer?
  6. theBOMisthebomb
I vote for a candidate for hitting coach that is NOT an ex-Twin or previously connected to the organization. Time for new blood.

It appears Levine is going against what has to be the first instinct and knee jerk reaction to clean house and have heads roll. Hopefully the patience pays off.
  8. theBOMisthebomb
It certainly might have been one of the deepest Twins rotations in recent history.

Glad to see Vargas playing winter ball and looking for a big season in 2017 for him with the Twins.

Yes. I would move Plouffe for any reasonable offer.

Great memories, it is just that they are 25 year old stale memories and it would be nice to get another championship in the next decade or so.

    No no to go Go.
  13. theBOMisthebomb
No thanks, we need to go with younger guys first over someone like Pearce.

You cannot top game 7 of the 1991 World Series. Maybe match it, never surpass.

My first thought was that Sano would become Ortiz 2.0 and that I could not take another 15 years of "That guy started with us and we got nothing."
  16. theBOMisthebomb
Too bad they don't play wth the USA in the WBC.

    You guys are awesome!

Kepler should be on the top 10 ahead of the two Wild players.

How about some new blood instead? This franchise needs a complete makeover and a new identity. The announcers are cosmetic changes, yet are at least a start. Gladden seems outdated the little of him I have heard and gets criticized for not giving the score frequently enough. Let's get a fresh start, we cannot sink any lower on so many levels.

Bad news. Dick and Bert are symbolic of much of what is wrong with this organization and it would have been nice to start over. Get a broadcasting team that understands (today's) game. Plus, Dick's lame stories of his hometown are so bad they cannot be listened to by a sane person. Audra Martin is a joy and should be the full time sideline reporter.

There is some value to watching baseball on TV and in person. Especially when a parent or coach is there to talk about the strategy. I have had that experience wuth my son - watch how Mauer and the Twins do something and then bring that visual to practice the next day.

Start building the bullpen into an asset where when the starting pitcher makes it into the 5th inning or later with a lead that lead is secure. It should be easier to build a bullpen quicker than a starting rotation. Ideally build both a new bullpen and starting rotation, you just have to start somewhere.

The big question is whether they have played against Tim Tebow yet and if so how they did.
  24. theBOMisthebomb
He appears to have the work ethic to fulfill his potential. Here's hoping Sano is paying attention.
  25. theBOMisthebomb
He needs to make adjustments since the league seemed to adjust to him as 2016 progressed. Don't pull a Sano and appear to not work on your craft during the off season.
