Not to mention he never seems to be a 'real' cluthch hitter that changes the game in the 8th or 9th inning when he has a chance to tie the game, give te Twins the lead, or win the game. I remember at least 3 or 4 of these situations this year and ol' Joe is a big fat o-fer. He might have a decent average with risp, yet when the game hangs in the balance you just know Joe is going to hit a weak tapper.
How do Jepsen, FO, and Molly not get an F? Dozier deserves a D minus. You were too lenient on an individual level to Fien, Ervin Santana, Hughes, and Sano. Total system failure. This season is a train wreck on top of a car crash.
We brought back Gardy... Gardy - he of the bazillion years in a row of 90+ losses. And brought him back just a little over one season after the most recent 90+ loss season. That's the mentality of this front office.
Replay sucks and is an abomination. Disgrace to the integrity of the game. Another step toward making real life more like a video game. Why not just play out the season on a computer generated model and be done with it?
The plan is the current youth movement which has turned into this 0-9 disaster. If we bail now and start plugging in veterans that are slightly better today we are again mortgaging the future. It was just a few years ago when we were begging for Buxton and Sano to be here so let's be patient and see how it plays out. Keep playing the young guys and call up some young pitchers. It is just so bad right because almost all the guys are struggling at the same time.
We might as well keep Buxton here and let him get some seasoning and learn the tough lessons sooner than later while it isn't harming anything. He needs the experience and to get through the growing pains eventually, why not now?
I threw dirt on their grave a year ago and that was an inferior team (on paper anyway). Let's give the season time to no play out and just enjoy that baseball is back.
On the Rickard carch: If he catches it and the odds of winning increase by .2 percent then it's clear it was the right choice, not a wash. Two outs and a better chance of winning is clearly better than one out and a smaller chance.
Morneau to the Saints... genius maneuvering. We need to alert someone in Lowertown of this idea. Would love to see that. Justin could stay at the Mauer estate and if Park flops he is already in town. Brilliant!
