    Cool the jets on the 2018 FA class. Listening to rumors on 2017 FA is agonizing and annoying enough.

    Agreed it makes sense to move him. It appears the new regime is in no rush to make trades, hopefully they are maximizing value. It may still happen.

    Agreed. However, it is that seriousness that give this site its integrity. I appreciate how it doesn't become rumor central with no sources or a place where everyone has a 'hot take' and is trying to make a name.

    The response on Sano is a little nerve racking. Here's hoping that Sano comes to spring training in shape and ready to go. It seems Molly should have talked to him by now, we are 60 days into the offseason.

    If this was preseason 2016 then they would have no plan and they'd be making decisions minute by minute all the way into spring training. Hoping Falvey-Levine don't allow things such as Sano in RF to happen.

    There are some decent names deserving of introduction, no obvious or overwhelming choices.

    Glad to say goodbye to the ASG determining home field advantage in the WS. This failed experiment simply threatened the integrity of the sport.

    Thank you for getting a new face in the mix and moving in a new (hopefully successful) direction.

    Maybe if Sano worked on his defense during the off season it would boost team D stats. A full year of Buxton and Kepler in the OF. These two things should vastly improve team defense.

    It was time for Bill Smith and the Twins to part ways. The Twins won't be able to truly turn the page on a new era until they clear out the old and outdated Twins Way guys. There is nothing wrong with TR, Bill Smith and the rest - it's simply time to find a better way.

    Baseball still translates to good entertainment even when the players don't 'try' or give 100 percent effort. Unlike the other all star games in football, basketball, and hockey you can still produce a legitimate game in baseball when there isn't something at stake. Thank the heavens we are we no longer saddled with the ASG determining hime field advantage in the WS - that was an abomination.

    Barry Bonds is an insult to the integrity of the game and deserves only a place in the cheater's Hall of Shame.

    Only time will tell. So far I have liked the Castro signing and not been in favor of the three new special assistant hirings.

    Thumbs down on these hires. Yes, they are all well accomplished players with the potential to be successful in these roles. However, this feels like a Terry Ryan November 2015 move, not the anticipated splash from the new regime.

    Thankful for: Day games, the family section at Target Field, Max Kepler, the love of the game of baseball keeping me young and the chance to pass that love of the game to my children, hope for the future with the new regime.

    He shoots he scores. Building a new foundation one brick at a time. Castro's offense seems comparable to Suzuki's. How much of a difference will his defense make?

    It would be a fun winter during retirement to head down to Australia and watch baseball all winter long.

    Automated balls and strikes. More replay. Expanded playoffs until eventually the World Series wil be played in a neutral warm weather or dome predetermined location - like the Super Bowl. These are all negatives. No matter how hard people try to ruin the game it will always be great.

    Plouffe is a great guy and good player, it was time to move along. They really couldn't get anything for him though? Here's hoping Sano takes his offseason conditioning and training seriously this winter. Losing ABW is a bummer. Maybe the new guys thought he struck out too much? A bit of a head scratcher.
