  1. Yes. Per Reusse's 5/21/16 tweet: "Presented w/o commentary: Jose Bautista hits his 13th home run in Target Field, tying Joe Mauer's total."
  2. "Love you man" (followed by uncomfortable bro hug).
  3. I'm with you that RD was terrible in his own choke job sort of way. He induced nightmares for me many years after he left. The performance by Jepsen in 2016 was reminiscent of RD, just not as bad and in less clutch situations. RD'S son Ike was/is a big leaguer - I booed Ike a few years ago at Target Field for the sins of his father.
  4. Gedney, he's the Minnesota Pickler.
  5. Liam Hendriks Rondell White Lenny Faedo
  6. After the Vikings debacle on Sunday, it's nice to read at least a little bit of news for a brighter future.
  7. Amen to this. Sano comes across as unprofessional and unprepared with a laissez-faire attitude. If he flops in 2017 it might lead to a downward spiral where he is classified as a bust and that would be a shame. Agreed that Spring training 2017 is pivotal and if he comes in overweight and not ready then Molly should take some corrective action. Sano needs a kick in the pants. Maybe he just doesn't care as long as he's getting paid - that is the appearance anyway. Hoping I'm wrong about all this.
  8. As far as conditioning related to weight, it seems Sano shouldn't get any bigger than he was last year and I am certain the Twins wouldn't mind him dropping 10-20 pounds. The training I feel he needs is reps at third base since he hasn't played consistently there the last few years.
  9. Shoot, going to miss seeing Thielbar at CHS next season.
  10. No and a second no to AJ.
  11. Amen and amen. The thought of suffering through another decade or two of Dick and Bert babbling on is almost unbearable. Who is the target audience for Dick listeners? 90 year old librarians from the iron range?! Dick and Bert need to go and be replaced by announcers who know today's game.
  12. The per diem was reduced so maybe Sano will be able to cut weight.
  13. Sweet baby, let's load up. I am predicting a World Series title in 2021, a nice 30 year anniversary celebration of the legendary 1991 title.
  14. We should go as young as we possibly can in 2017 while still being reasonable, except for the pitching staff.
  15. No, I am dating PA's mother.
  16. Sweet - DaveW digging in his heels. This is getting entertaining.
  17. PA is the only KFAN host I can stomach on a consistent basis. Maybe because he is the only one who really talks sports routinely. The interview with Aronson was enthralling. Now, the Bremer interview was insufferable. Dick's stories about his hometown are even more overwrought and painful to listen to when Dick is given time to add details.
  18. So sorry to hear such tragic news.
  19. Agreed that ol' Joe should sit against left handers.
  20. The Paul Allen episode is brilliant, give it a listen.
  21. LEN3 is alright (average to mediocre) on the writing side of things. On the radio is another story -the voice and stuttering get on my last nerve along with the Chicago Bears fan nonsense. He comes across as a Chicago guy condescending to work in the Twin Cities market. He seems like a nice guy personally.
  22. Bro, what would draw you to the Twins? Feel free to come back to chat, just don't get emotionally attached to the Twins (or any other Minnesota sports teams for that matter). The Twin Cities is Loserville, USA, and it is torture cheering for their four major men's sports teams.
  23. When I was a teenager my dad knew a guy at work who knew a guy who worked for the Twins. We were tipped off early that Billy Gardner was going to be replaced by Ray Miller. I remember telling my buddies at school before it even hit the papers. Man, I wish there was Twins Daily in 1985.
  24. Diversify and get as much talent as possible and reload that farm system. With the return the White Sox received this week the Twins should be emboldened to hold out and maximize their return if they choose to deal Dozier and/or Santana.
  25. The hope was that the new regime would make drastically different moves than ol' TR. Maybe that just isn't realistic and makes no sense. It is a tad bit disappointing, though.
