    You can not determine if a team is rebuilding by how they handle one player. If they deal members of the core of 4 plus Polanco and Rosario, then they are rebuilding.

    You do know, if a draft yields 2 contributors it's considered successful. I believe you're looking for something that doesn't exist. Also, there is no downside to moving college closers into the starting rotation. None.

    The locks are Berrios, Romero, Pineda, and Gibson. I have no problem packaging a starting pitching prospect in a blockbuster. One of the talking heads will have our farm system in the top 5 this off-season.

    His OF play is serviceable. One of these days, he'll get beat out in ST, no need to force the issue. Our woes are not caused by guys at the end of the bench. Look the other way.

    We aren't rebuilding. We still have the core of 4 plus Rosario and Polanco. No one knew Buxton and Sano would crap the bed. By the way, if we lose Buxton in free agency, we just got his replacement from the Astros. Life is fair.

    Tom, that's the whole point. Our farm system is very deep. Last off-season I thought they would trade a Gonsalves and Romero type for a 2/3. The problem with that would be, we would lose our starting pitching deep. IMHO we can package at least 2 blockbusters w/o completely stripping our farm system after the outstanding work done at the deadline.

    The defining draft was 2017. The defining trade deadline was 2018. Seems like you're missing a good show. The boldest move they could make is signing Kershaw and Harper.

    No. Whatsamatta Yu and Cobb's contracts are worse and it's not even close. The return on Lynn looks fine.

    Yesterday on the radio, Falvey said they will be using our prospects to make trades. That was part of their thinking, when they made a deep, top 10 farm system deeper. With seemingly half the teams in baseball doing some form of rebuilding, I'm guessing they will package 2 or 3 of our prospects, and make that blockbuster trade, we've been all waiting for this off-season.

    Great job Nick! The last thing a good team learns is how to win. July was our best month at 14-13. I do not want to see open auditions. Play to win.

    Trevor May is the most overrated player in the history of TD. One of my all time favorite myths, is if he had continued to start, he would have been the picture of health. He was always on the DL because those bad, bad people in the FO wouldn't start him. No way we protect him on the 40 man come November.
