  1. The new Angels GM inherited Trout and Pujols. The new Tiger GM inherited Miggy and Verlander. Etc, Etc, Etc, That Bill Smith obtained the most positive parts of the teams future is a myth.
  2. We should see Berrios shortly, so he'll end up with not quite 20 starts this season. I never really cared when they called him up, as long as he received enough innings so we could pencil him in by ST. I think throwing in money is rarely a deal maker or breaker.
  3. The reason for our problems this season, have nothing to do will catcher. I would sign Suzuki for 1 year, and if push comes to shove 2. Paired with John Ryan Murphy, we will be fine as we move back into contention in 2017 and beyond.
  4. Mike, our favorite team is not sitting around waiting for calls, nor are any of the other 29 teams. Assuming one of the players you're thinking about is Santana, TR is in a win-win situation, with Santana at max value. Our scouting department, has long been considered one of the best in all of baseball, and I have no doubt, few have slept in their own beds for weeks. If TR pulls the trigger on Santana, the glass is half full members will be pleased with the return. Yesterday on Inside Twins, TR left little doubt we are looking for starting pitching, but I would assume he'll wait for the off-season when there will be less competition. I would guess we may move Plouffe, Santana, Polanco, or Park in that order, at the deadline.
  5. Gordon is the SS of the future, and since he will start next season at AA, fair chance we see him at some point in time next season. Nunez is insurance in case Brooks Sano can't stick at a premium position.
  6. Brooks Sano will be given until the end of the season minimum. I wouldn't have traded board scapegoat Nunez anyway, but he will become insurance for next season, once we trade board scapegoat Plouffe.
  7. No he didn't. King Theo was ready to rock and roll in 2015.
  8. The Pohlads totally bought into the rebuild of 2012-14. They aren't going to fire one of the most respected baseball minds of his generation for 3 poor months.
  9. They won't trade Nunez, because he's helping us win now, and is insurance in case Brooks Sano doesn't work out at 3B and is moved to full time DH in 2017. Polanco can't beat out Dozier, and we have other top prospects in the pipeline. I believe we will package Polanco with one of our better starting pitching prospects and make a trade this off season.
  10. Berrios will be up in the near future. My guess is they want to try May at closer. If it's not successful, he'll get a change to win a spot in the rotation next season.
  11. Our favorite team will not be embarking on a youth movement, will not be trying to trade all the board scapegoats, and does not want to be the youngest team in baseball.
  12. No doubt Plouffe will be dealt at some point in time.
  13. TR said yesterday on Inside Twins, Sano's future is at 3B. So the fan board is getting what they want and Plouffe is on the table.
  14. Good grief! Arcia and Pinto will be fighting to see who is the DH for a beer ball team.
  15. Murphy in Rochester is our catcher of the future. I understand anyone TR trades for instantly becomes a board scapegoat, but Murphy will be our catcher next time we are in the World Series.
  16. Brock, you're actually pretty close with the Royals. They were going to clean house in 2013, but stayed the course. Better times are just around the corner.
  17. Who was the last Twins starting catcher who wasn't an All-Star sometime in their career? Giving up on Murphy this early is silly.
  18. Actually. the pitching has been good. Who would you get rid of?
  19. You will see the ballboys or ballgirls play 3B before Sano.
  20. Our favorite team will be contenders this year, and the next 6 or so no sweat. It's too bad baseball isn't like Dancing With the Stars, where the fans get to vote.
