  1. Sometimes you have to do that, but we don't know if this is sometimes yet. What team would cut damages goods without giving them a chance to reestablish themselves?
  2. Actually, there is no youth movement. The goal is to dethrone the Royals. As I have posted before, neither TR or King Theo have announced a youth movement.
  3. The trade chips that are actually in demand are Berrios, Polanco, Kepler, and May. If we trade any of those, the TD meltdown on moving Sano to RF will seem like an intelligent conversation.
  4. Can you provide the names of the players you are referring to? TR would say these things have a way of working themselves out. My observation is the board overrates our prospects and have little understanding of normal turnover/wastage if you will.
  5. What exactly is all this we are doing? Our favorite team appears to have little confidence Sano can play 3rd in The Show. There is a myth floating around that the team is being built around Plouffe, but it's just another TD myth.
  6. There is no system issue. We are producing as many players as any team.
  7. You've heard nothing like that from the Twins. In fact, I would not be at all surprised if our scouts find one they like during ST.
  8. There is nothing that says Jepsen won't be resigned, May won't continue in the pen, and Perkins still has a contract for several years. The pen will be at least average this year and move up in 2017. The strength of the farm system is power arms in the pen.
  9. The White Sox find a way to shoot themselves in the foot every year. Why should this year be any different?
  10. What Milone is, is a proven starter on a contending team with a career record of 41-29. When Berrios is called up, he'll still have plenty of time to win the ROY and Cy Young.
  11. Perkins is a 3 time All-Star closer. I don't believe it to be accurate, but some on the board felt May was one of our best starters and he was moved to be pen. Jepsen has been outstanding since joining our favorite team.
  12. What's apparent is every year is different and the past is not a perfect predictor of the future. I wouldn't make assumptions based on SSS.
  13. I didn't know there was a proper mix on a contending team. Can you provide the math and science to support your position?
  14. I say that's impossible. Our bullpen depth does not depend on one player, and Jepsen can regress a great deal and still be solid. Perkins is an All-Star closer until he`s not.
  15. Not so. Most likely the biggest improvement on the team will be the bullpen. Perkins, Jepsen, and May alone will move us somewhere towards the middle. Fien is solid. Plenty of time to add additional pieces for what will likely be our 5th, 6th, and 7th bullpen arms. At some point in time, pitching becomes a numbers game and we certainly have the numbers with minor league free agents and a number of near ready top prospects. No one will deny the handling of the bullpen was frustrating last season, but the past is not a perfect predictor of the future. I'm more concerned with our starters and our offense. I do feel the competition in ST will be fierce for bullpen arms and am very curious what the pecking order will be when they break camp. Too much talent at the top with the big 3, and too much talent in the pipeline to fail.
  16. All's well that ends well.
  17. Jack said somewhere in the middle. Can you do better than just tell, and instead using math and science, show the members how you can possibly know our favorite team is 10-15 years behind the curve? I do hear such things on the board periodically, but no one has ever provided any form of evidence. Is it fact, or just another one of the board's myths?
  18. If Sano puts up 20-25 errors at 3B it could hold up the parade. They are obviously not willing to hand him the 3B job fulltime, if ever.
  19. No doubt the Twins scouted everyone who has ever worn a cup, and decided on Murphy as their catcher of the future. They won't be making a move at catcher.
  20. Pressly, Meyer, and Graham are very close. I can see getting a lefty on a short term deal. If the board wants to see shiny new things, power arms in the pen is the strength of our farm system.
  21. Stewart was a 20 year-old in a league where the average age was 23. Still a very solid starting pitching prospect.
