  1. This is Falvine clinging to their prospects. The only one the Pohlads may factor into would be Grienke.
  2. The Division Series will be against either the Astros or Yankees. No chance with this bullpen.
  3. He'd be nice to have. Funny how the Brewers can make trade almost every year and they're farm system isn't gutted.
  4. Because that's just usually how it works out. Cleveland isn't going anywhere and Chicago might be very good in 2 years.
  5. At a certain point, if they're never ever going to even try to win it all, what's the point? This is 2006 all over again, and our next shot might be in 2032. And if this goes as expected and Favley is still around, he'll cling to his prospects and dream of 2035.
  6. If they do nothing, my confidence level in ever winning a WS with Falvine drops to zero.
  7. They're not sitting on them. They're clinging to their precious, precious prospects like grim death dreaming of someday that will never come.
  8. At this point I pretty much agree with this. Minor, Kennedy, a LOOGY and the Dyson idea's not terrible either. Especially with Buxton...well you know. My expectation is that they do nothing with "Couldn't find the right fit" "Best trades are the ones you don't make" quotes incoming. Life as a MN sports fan.
  9. If they only acquire one more reliever, the 7th spot can be a Rochester shuttle of Thorpse/Steshak/Smeltzer/Stewart. In an ideal world we acquire another reliever and a starter (say Syndergaard and Kennedy. The bullpen would be: Rogers Kennedy Romo Duffy Harper May Perez
  10. If there is any market for Schoop, trade him before Wednesday.
  11. The Twins get about one season to go for it per decade and this is one of them. The Yankees rotation is a mess. Houston is good, but we already showed we can hang with them. Odorizzi is back to 2018 form. We have no chance in games 2 or 3 of any play-off series with our current rotation. They need another starter, whether it be Stroman, Syndergaard or someone else.
  12. Lol. Some of y'all are hilarious. "I'd rather have Belisle." Really? He has 17 saves. No he's not great. But he's better than what we have, and we gave up a guy we would have possibly lost as Rule V and got a decent pitching prospect on top of it. This can't be their only move though.
  13. #s aside, wasn't it pretty widely reported that he was a jerk and a problem in the clubhouse? Why would you bring that back?
  14. Some of y'all are awfully pessimistic. 26-37 the rest of the way given their schedule? Even I can't be that dire.
  15. I'm good with trading anyone but Lewis and Graterol.
  16. I'd do the MadBaum/Smith package for anything within reason that doesn't include Lewis/Graterol and then add Ian Kennedy. The Grienke option is intriguing but how many years are left?
  17. I'll gladly take 1 win in this series and a 2 game lead on Thursday morning.
  18. This is the crux of our disagreement. I'm not paying a player with 3 + years of service time assuming he will do something he's never done. He's also never sustained reasonable offensive production for more than 2-3 months at a time, and always takes awhile to get it going again when coming back from injuries.
