  1. I would tend to agree that there's very little productive to be said here. Normally, fans are inclined to want to believe the player in a situation like this. In this case, it may be the opposite. In any event, it's up to the Twins, MLB and the authorities to do, or not do what they see fit. All I would say is that those ripping Nick or others here need to stop and take a breath. If he was told about this a year + after it happened and asked to keep it private, what good could possibly come from telling anyone?
  2. Pass. Vargas should be primary DH with Sano DHing against lefties and Escobar playing 3rd. I have a bad feeling Napoli will lead to losing Vargas on waivers.
  3. It's been a long 7 years. Congrats boys.
  4. Don't start making assumptions now. The problem with having 3 teams now tied is it only takes on of them to run off a 7-1 stretch. We need to win tomorrow and take at least one in Cleveland before even thinking about relaxing.
  5. Garcia had an absurdly large strike zone last night and tonight we get squeezed. It's hard enough to beat the Yankees, but the refs always help screw us over. I watched the entire game on dvr fast forward, it's the only way I can tolerate watching Twins games at Yankee stadium.
  6. Mollie left Colon in too long. I know his pitch count was good, but he was getting hit hard all night. Should have taken the 6 innings and called it a day, or at most given him one base runner in the 7th.
  7. Glad to see them finish off one of these 9th inning come-backs for once.
  8. Disappointing. It's hard not to feel a bit snake bit. That's 3 times in the last 10 days now that we've come up a few inches short of a 9th inning come back. Meanwhile the Angels are doing it nightly.
  9. Terrible call. That aside, how do you allow Giminez to bat in the 9th (or the 7th for that matter)? You could easily have put Garver at catcher after the 7th since you inserted Granite anyway. Or you could have simply used Castro in the 10th if needed. Inexcusable. That's aside from the fact that you went with 8-9 hitters who had basically no prayer all day.
  10. This needs to be the end of Dillon Gee as a starter. Either Slegers or Mejia needs to take the next turn. And Duffy shouldn't have been brought out for a 3rd inning. That's on Mollie.
  11. Thanks for the blood pressure spike, Belisle. Very invigorating.
  12. Really wish Belisle was not the closer.
  13. Well 2 2/3 on a tidy 48 pitches. It's understandable.
  14. That's not Terry and I'm not a dumb-ass. Usually.
  15. We must take a moment to thank Terry Ryan for burning two Polanco options for a total of 3-4 games in 14-15. Otherwise he'd have been raking for Rochester all month. Brilliant foresight, Terry.
  16. Jorge. I've never seen anyone go from totally lost to 'he should hit clean-up' faster.
  17. No. I think it hit above. It would have been a spectacular catch.
  18. Is Giminez honesty better than Garver on D? And if not, why is he getting all of the playing time?
  19. What are the odds Gibson gives us two good starts in a row? May as well call Slegers up to take Gee's spot in the rotation and send Curtiss back. Presumably Slegers could give you some innings tomorrow if necessary
