Ending the most embarrassing streak in sports history counts for something. But now it gives this regime at least two more years and we aren't winning anything more than this as long as they're in charge. So it's kind of a steep price to pay.

I'm not sure how to answer a theoretical. Routinely managing games this way is asking for it to blow up in your face. If you use 6 relievers on purpose, chances are one of them is going to have an off night. Managing a play-off game totally different than the other 162 is foolish. Short leash is one thing, this is another. Didn't work for the Blue Jays, didn't work tonight. And if it somehow does, the exhausted pen will probably bite them in game 5.

I don't expect anyone but Solano to play 1B. Farmer would go there before Julien IMO. But you could also DH Royce and put Farmer at 3B and Julien at 1B. If we advance, I fear Joey Gallo will be on the ALCS roster. -
